When u guys installed grilled, do u opted for safety exit mechanism?

U can escape or exit from locked inside in case emergency

My new house is a gated and guarded area too, but I decided to install grill and alarm.

In terms of security, I find alarm is more important than CCTV because the guards will respond immediately when the alarm goes off. However, if there are elders or kids in the house, having a CCTV is essential to keep an eye on them when we are not around.

I had the experience of 2 burglars jumping in from the window and had a knife against my husband's neck. So yeah, grill is a must for me.

Yup the workmanship is important. Cheap grilles cut corners and have major flaws in core components e.g hinges, weld joinery quality, padlock ears, material thickness, even common parts - how well the (floor- and ceiling- position locking bars and the opposite matching hole for the grille lock) are made, determines the strength of a grille - whether its a strong one that requires ten minutes to saw through, or something that can be easily defeated in seconds with a hydraulic jack/hammer/crowbar.

Of course all those are qualitative components which can't readily be measured with $ and cents. I am very pleased with my 3kim grille as compared to the cheap one my neighbours took.

Does anybody have any contacts for good reliable grille contractor with reasonable price? Need to do grille for the whole house. Thanks.

i read the good feedback at forum and decided to let them install grills of my landed house.

However the powder coat start rusty after 2 month installation and the sales girl doesn't respond at all after full payment done.
What a bad service.

Thanks for sharing. I got quotation from Panther in July with 20% but of cos my house is delayed so I’m still surveying Reliance, Renex and Panther. With mesh so you feel airy? And is yet he house darker due to light not penetrating?

Anyone know can i still install mosquito net (not magnetic mosquito net) on the existing grille ?
Or i need to replace the grille with the grille come with net ?

Currently my house backyard only have a grille door it has very good air flow but not protected from mosquito/insects.
