I'll advice if you want powder coat, get common color so is easier to patch by normal paint. I am using normal matt black powder coat internal, external is galvanized + paint over it using same color.

actually how reliable of powder coating as compared to normal spray paint ya? I saw my friend's house, his grille is actually in white colour, the grille maker sprayed it using car paint (as they claim can last longer), however after 1 year plus, the area near the lock there, the paint start to drop off, as he always accidentally cucuk the grille with key, powder coating can last better with such wear and tear?

It still easy peel off, maybe harder only. My grill is a good example, drop some hardware on it, one patch came off. Lucky is common color, I apply primer and spray it.

Powder coating are more hard and thicker. It not easy to scratch. But if knocking hard on it will crack the pain. Not peel off.

The rough 1 will trap the dirt if use outside. Indoor no problem.

if not mistaken, smooth surface is only 1 colour.

rough surface is 2 colours, they call it 2 tones. means they spray 2 colours n u will see 2 tones. 2 tones r more expensive compare to 1.

i would like to recommend Three Kim Metal Work. I engaged them as i read many recommendation from this forum.

they r located at kajang, but they came to measure my house at klang n provide quotation on Sep. their price r good compare to many grill suppliers at klang. i told them my house will be ready for installation on Nov only, they waited patiently n also responded quickly to my questions n request during this period. you can contact them via hp, email as well as fb. i would say very good service n very helpful.

they r coming to fix de grill n the polycarbonate sheet next week, im very looking forward.

their fb is https://www.facebook.com/#!/threekimmetalworks. you can contact Ivy.

Rough surface is it what you'll refer to paint in matt finish?

tested on several surface, felt that powder coating, the paint/powder stick HARDER than usual spray painy and the powder is much more thicker as compare to typical spray paint.

Can anyone advise on the normal 1.2mm grill pricing? I have a quo for my new hse grill of RM4100. Is this consider good price?

2 units 3 panel sliding door
1 unit single wood door
2 units 2 panel window
1 unit 3 panel window
3 units toilet small window
1 unit single panel window

Beside that the contractor also quo me a awning 20ft*11ft awning (not metal type but like plastic with color) RM6600 rclxub.gif I wonder is it really so expensive ah?

My entire house with 13+ feet metal gate around 10k, external is with hot dip galvanized.

I see you have 3 unit sliding door, that usually more expensive. And you did not state the measurement is also very hard to give you advice.

No lah. Is about market price.

But I think that company too rich already. Install everything about 3 weeks already don't want to come collect the balance 70%.
