will the impacting the cost if using 1.2 or 1.6mm? Normally or standard give was how many mm??
*
It seem like price different on RM2.5 between 0.8mm and 1.6mm for Grill? Is the price below reasonable?

MS = 166sfx 10.5=1743 (1.6mm) / 166sfx 8 =1328 (0.8 mm) different of RM415

As for 16 feets Gate, it quoted RM2700 for MS + RM150 for stainless steel Roller with similar to below design but all Horizotal (without the flower box)

The outer frame is of 2.3mm while the inner steel sections are either 1.2mm or 1.6mm. The reason for this is because my gate was galvanised. There is a minimum thickness of steel sections if you are putting them through the hot dipped galvanising process.

BTW, I have know the fabricator a long way back. Thus, could be the reason for the special price. smile.gif

If not mistake, the folk didn't do "galvanising" on it, as I didn't see have such room on he factory. He worker doing painting on open area than I guess leave there to get dry...

Normally Galvanised is done by specialized factory. Grill maker will send it to the factory and do.

WIll check with the contractor whether Gate have galvanized done or not, as since it installed at open area which more ease to give rust.

WIll different between 1.6mm / 1.2mm have any big different for Grill interm of been breakin? Same or ?
Because that was differential of RM250 between this two...

1.6 and 1.2mm, you mean thickness? 1.6mm is better.

If you are going for galvanising, then there is a minimum thickness for different member sizes. Of course, the thicker the steel member, the better BUT don't forget the weight consideration especially for the gate. As the thicker steel members will add on to the overall gate.

16' would be better. smile.gif That was also my initial plan. But due to the need to allocate the space for the rubbish compartment and water filter, plus the gate pillars, etc. I am left with balance of 15' plus for the gate. 15' is still OK if your dive way is long. If your driveway is short (just enough for the length of your car, then it could post a problem. Another issue is the type of gate used. If using the folding gate, you need to allow for the effective clear opening. The type of auto gate system also effects the effective opening. Those using the arm type will have a smaller effective opening.

THIS IS THE BEST LAA.. SLEEVE ANCHOR

SOME JUST USE CONCRETENAIL

Haven't seen anyone use this before. Wall plug got la (plastic piece, fasten with screws). This sleeve anchor must use bolt to fasten & screw portion will be jutting out when tightened. Got people use for window grille? Sure more expensive.

This kind of anchor quite common and very cheap. Easily obtain from all hardware shops. Will not cost more to use them. Most important is to tack weld the ends after fastening smile.gif
