QUOTE(wilsonjay @ Apr 3 2010, 10:06 PM) guys help me decide.. steelseries Kinzu or razer Abyssus? i wan a small mouse..using diamondback for 2 years..kinda big for me... don't think both mouse van be labeled as small, bro. Razer Orochi, Logitech VX Nano are considered small. @Michaelbyz23: isn't RM250 is like a steal for a almost new Mamba? on another note, looking to let go of my Orochi too. contemplating to order the TactX mouse from Dell now or wait another week for PC fair. QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Apr 3 2010, 10:42 PM) Since PC-Fair is coming, maybe those interested in getting ALIENWARE stuff can wait till pc fair... IINM, last PC fair is the first fair AW ever get involved with? i am afraid such price no longer available for the coming one. anyway, fingers-crossed. RM363 online from Dell is pretty |

QUOTE(Michaelbyz23 @ Apr 3 2010, 11:55 PM) cuz.. like teikweing said.. its like a steal.. i dunno la.. still considering. just posted cuz was so heated with tactx. btw guys, i like silver color m11x also. very special. give me a feeling of just fresh out of the factory.. a new one like cost RM429? selling at RM250-300 is like 30-40% off. |

so you're gonna push up the selling price now?
anyway, just realize this while watching some of the HD trailers on apple.com/trailers, the playback did experience some lag and stutter, anyone else with the same issue? never have such issues even with my old Inspiron on Core Duo 1.66 with Intel GMA950. |

QUOTE(Michaelbyz23 @ Apr 4 2010, 12:27 AM) i may not wanna sell it... i just add another mouse to my mice family. haha. tactx would be my next target. i reallly need some mouse that can offer portability.. how about the ones on apple.com/trailers? might be due to my Quicktime player settings though.hmm.. no woh.. i watched HD shows like how i met your mother season 5, not lag or stutter...hmm.. QUOTE(deathbringer @ Apr 4 2010, 12:29 AM) quoted from NBR:QUOTE yup 197.16 drivers aren't any good for me. They're just like the 196.86 modded. If you install over your current drivers it will switch fine. Not until you reboot then they fail. I'm assuming batboy didn't reboot. Back to original drivers. Unless you disable switchable graphics and go purely discrete you can't really use these drivers yet... thinking about trying discrete gfx only with these. The 196.86 had a sleep issue and battery drain so I uninstalled it. I'm on discrete mode only now and installing the 197.16. I'll see if it can sleep/wake properly as well as no battery drain. Don't mind running discrete 24/7 if the drivers are any good. This post has been edited by teikwing: Apr 4 2010, 12:37 AM |

QUOTE(desmond.fun @ Apr 18 2010, 10:52 AM) ![]() Woah, long time no see since I bought my Alienware M11x. Here is a picture of my Alienware M11x with my Alienware External Monitor 21.5". The super reason of why you should buy M11x + Alienware External Monitor is because you can do just like the above picture. Other external monitor DO NOT HAVE HEIGHT ADJUST-ABILITY and thus you cannot put both your laptop and monitor face-front. The only other monitor from Dell which allow height adjust-ability is Dell UltraSharpTM 2209WA which cost RM759. This Alienware monitor of mine cost RM1k, but due to my enthusiasm of using Alienware product... RM250 extra is NOTHING... lol... since I am going to look at the monitor 10 hours a day for the next 3-5 years. And if we were using M15x or M17x, it will be too big even with height-adjustable external monitor. So my conclusion is Alienware M11x + Alienware External Monitor = Ultra Combo. |

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Apr 29 2010, 03:25 PM) i do sweat a lot when gaming but i do wipe the palm rest area off with a wet cloth every time after a gaming session. still as good as new. on another note, just got myself a BenQ G2220 to pair with my M11x. and man, that made hell lots of difference. no more eye-straining when viewing web pages and gaming. running on a dual screen desktop now. but still, loved the portability of the M11x. hooked it up to a 42" plasma for HD movies every time i'm back home. p/s: who wants a brand new in box Alienware TactX mouse for RM329? QUOTE(jsc_tidus @ May 11 2010, 01:58 PM) M11x Protector yea great shield indeed. used to use it on my iPhone. took it off coz it turned yellowish after some time. however, those who looking to purchase it need not to worry about the uneven surface, just spray plenty of water to the surface u wanna apply on and that would make the job whole lot easier. anyone wanna bulk this? i use the same brand for my camera, so far not even a hard-pressed-keys doesnt scratch my camera |

QUOTE(deathbringer @ May 14 2010, 06:24 PM) my m11x keyboard's backlighting is a little off-colour on the left side. this is especially evident when the backlight is white. the esc, ~, tab, caps, left-shift and left-ctrl keys are all slightly orange. will dell change it for me if i call them? the issue has been raised before, mate. it's due to the limitation of LEDs. most if not all Alienware users faced the same issue when the keyboard backlight is set to white. heck, even my white looks purple'ish now. |

QUOTE(deathbringer @ May 14 2010, 07:26 PM) i understand if white backlighting doesn't look totally white, but this problem is only affecting the keys on the left of the keyboard. when i first got the M11x, this problem was not visible. it affects me on the left side as well where the Tab. Caps Lock and Shift keys are. so does many other users (if you did read NBR). well, if you insist on getting a replacement/repair from the Dell, go ahead. am curious if the issue can be solved as well. |

QUOTE(jsc_tidus @ May 15 2010, 06:16 PM) thinking of getting the zagg shield for m11x.. rm105.. no issue on that, bro. but for me, coverage for the lid is good enough since the main purpose of the shield is to protect against scratches and the matte surface hardly get scratched anyway.but curious bout the coverage, since i cover the 'palm rest area' right left next to the touchpad.. since this area is not smooth, its kinda 'matte'.. will the plastic stick? |
