ATi desktop card is better than Nvidia as in Power Consumption and Raw Performance based on their latest GTX480 which is power hungry and expensive!....
Nvidia for notebooks seems better bcuz their driver support for mobile is great ATi is just starting.. |

M11x is actually a ULV Gaming notebook
Before M11x I was so amazed with what Asus have on their ULXXVt series Same CPU SU7300 OCable to 1.73GHz but with Nvidia G210M.. Which was quite "okay" but then M11x comes in and pawns most of the 14" below lappies with its Nvidia GeForce GT335M 1 GB GDDR3 GPU.. M11x is still much "awesome" because of its Alienware thingy.. LoL.. The AlienFX is the main point here I think and its design |

Erm dell systems must only use Dell Drivers to be safe.. Got some compatibility issue.. Unless u use modded .inf for the drivers..

Free Antivirus to consider:
Avast! 5 Free AV - A full security Suite without firewall Panda Cloud Antivirus There's no need for paid AV i think.. If you want to pay you should pay for a Security Suite.. such as Avast! 5 Internet Security, Avira Premium Security 10 |

QUOTE(broga_night @ Apr 18 2010, 01:50 PM) cant wait my m11x to arrive...juz order this monday from the dell website, and they said need 2 wait 2weeks....wanna ask whether the processor can be upgrade?i think 1.3ghz is to low for gaming... It only has the SU4100 and SU7300 clocked at 1.3GHz stocked and can be OC'ed to 1.73GHz which is "good" enuf.. M11x has its reason to have such specs.. M11x is great for people who are always on the move.. |

QUOTE(valppy @ Apr 18 2010, 06:11 PM) hi there, The SU4100 and SU7300 would suffer under CPU hungry games(Strategy Games mostly).. i've been wanting the m11 x for quite some time but the CULV proc seems to hold me down. I do understand that 3D games are heavily depending on the graphic card which i think the nvidia 335m is sufficient for me. but then, i do play games that are proc based like warcraft 3(correct me if warcraft 3 is not proc based), so is the CULV processor enough to run it? like when you're controlling the massive number of army and all, does it lag or anything. anyway, i really like the design of the m11 x. seeing all the pics in this thread just makes me wanna get it now. Maybe can wait for the M11x rumoured refresh (Core i5, Nvidia Optimus Technology) this June/July or even Q4, 2010. |

Most of the time that Order Status page seems not updated sometimes.. My friend was waiting for his system and checked the page which was stuck only at the "Manufacturing Build Complete" so he emailed the SA and the SA kept him updated through emails instead lol.. and he got his system 15 days after he confirmed the order

QUOTE(nitevision92 @ May 3 2010, 10:10 PM) I kinda have a problem here. NVidia system tools will seemingly randomly refuse to load my custom frequencies, even though I specified it to load overclocked profiles once the system is booted. Any attempt to change the clock under Current Settings will load an error message saying the current setting is invalid and will not be loaded. Why not just manually do it? Since you only need OC in games and some other apps.. You don't need the card to run OCed all times..A little help here? or Are you UnderClocking? or It could be the Nvidia System Tools has "corrupted"? Try reinstalling it? My friend emailed Dell's SA about the M15x
She said this week will be HD5730 GDDR3 and June HD5850 GDDR5 woot! But both still not better than Nvidia GTX260M.. This post has been edited by Eugene91: May 4 2010, 11:56 AM |
