Finally managed to install chinese input pinyin for my tour 9630

it work!!

Download Chinese Language File from here (Total: 19 files, 4.09MB)
There will be 18 COD file and 1 ALX file

Uploading to MediaFire
http://www.mediafire.com/file/iyh5jynuzqn/...pinyin_pack.zip

"The following is how I got the CODs to work:

I have the Blackberry Tour 9630. My OS is 5.0.0.419.

Anyway, to install *all* of the CODs provided,

I used BBSAK v1.7 provided by RIMGeeks.com
http://www.rimgeeks.com/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=56

In the application, under Modify CODs, I selected Install COD(s),
then highlighted all of the COD files you provided and pressed ‘Open’.

I let the Blackberry startup, do the language setup.

Aku guna Digi BIS lah.
OS is 5.0.0.419

Tak ada problem!

Tour battery tak tahan lama.
Kalau boleh, beli Seidio Extended Battery lebih kurang RM250, 2600mAh kalau tak salah saya!

Battery ini memang hebat rclxm9.gif

try this link:
http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101-how-i...ating-system-os

i read this tutorial somewhere;

List below shows a simplified step by step upgrade for BlackBerry

1. Install BBM 5 from app world and run online remote backup. This will backup all your BBM contacts

2. Backup your BlackBerry

3. Download the 5.0.0.XXX software

4. Install .exe and delete vendor.xml

5. Download BBSAK and wipe device

6. Load OS from button in BBSAK

7. Allow OS to load and restore backup file.

8. Install Facebook, MSN, etc from app world, it'll install the working 5.0 compatible version

9. Install BBM 5 from app world, and restore from your online remote backup

Good luck

One problem left: cannot display Chinese characters in SMS (traditional nor simplified).

I have not touched my default english language Sprint OS (v.5.0.0.484). (I live in the US).
I followed the above instructions and installed all those CODs and the JADs..
I can now receive and send Chinese email, and I can SEND simplified Chinese SMS and ppl in China can read it.
However I cannot receive Chinese SMS!
If anyone sends me an SMS in traditional or simplified it comes up garbled as those characters like ÿăÝÈ¥å.

Any ideas?
I would download a Chinese OS for Tour 9630 but I haven’t found any.
