Now , a lot local company release new 8x media . But i find out that those media use imitate,fake MITSUBISHI MEDIA CODE .

Are there any fake Mitsubishi CDRs and DVDRs?

I like to know of course....

only found out that Mitsubishi 8x "MCC 003" got imitation.

original and fake also use same code . thats why I write guide how do test wheter fake or not.

Don't simply post if you are not sure. Just base on some PI/PO result and condemn the product are fake..... i really don't agree with it.

Fake Mitsubishi means those manufacturer actually manufacture the disc exactly like Mitsubishi (The top cover, packaging and the media code).

Some disc manufacture actually paid Mitsubishi Chemical for the dye material (AZO) and the MCC 003 code.

Using a title 'DVDr with MCC003 code which has a bad PI/PO results' would be better.

Some Taiwan,China manufacture just steal the mitsubishi code and use the low quality AZO (not original from Mitsubishi AZO) to process .
Thats why fake mitsubishi media cost very cheap !!


Original Mitsubishi might get poor quality, because of 2nd grade media . but those dvd inner code only have "PAH XX"

i setuju with yangxi on this sebab ada distributor also told me before of this case is happen a lot at taiwan too.

yangxi...do u know wat's the cd inner code for CDR comes from mitshubishi?

how come i cannot perform quality test... it say "driver does not support this function" my dvd-rw is TDK 1616N with firmware 2.79

only LITEON and BENQ & PHILIPS dvd writter can test disc quality

Is there a FAKE Maxell CD-RW?
My Maxell CD-RW is really bad. Not even a single scratch, but some files are not accessible.

I got lil' paranoid/carried away and checked all my 20 DVD±Rs from Mitsubishi. They were from 2x cakeboxes consisting of 10 DVD±R each.

Luckily all got PAH XXX XXX.
