OK, let me at give my opinion for some of your queries
try autolock (refer first page), it's also have reminder and screensaver like SE phone with miss called & unread msg (but i don't use them). try it and report the result
since the trend is now touch screen, b7330 is not that fancied. furthur more, b7330 is not HTC made. what enhancement do you want from custom ROM? current ROM had no problem. anyway, i also want at least to install other home screen layout 
why not try at ebay? look for international seller. try see this.
back to basic, to play the specific file format, you will need the correct codec. core player can play most of multimedia format.
1) Garmin GPS software free to download (refer first page) but you need to buy the unlock key, but there is always alternative...  . malsingmaps also free to download, but also need unlock key. free map, try check for malfreemap. please google OK.

2) still no finding on this, as work around, u can take picture in vibrate / silent mode. shutter speed? hehe get your dslr

OK now my question, anybody know how to custom some of the key (e.g.: internet key, messaging key). and how to remove the unwanted chinese input. it is quite annoying to press the Alt key several time to rotate between abc-123-chinese input-abc again.
