i'm amazed on the level of scholar candidates nowadays. So far, my sister had fail in all applications she submitted for overseas degree programme, now waiting for Mara announcement at 5pm.

even straight A's doesnt guarantee you a place. even a place for interview n educamp. it's getting tougher to get a seat.

Straight A's are nothing. Really. In my school alone the whole of my class gets straight As, with twenty of more of them gets 8A+ and above, with A being in Pendidikan Moral and Chinese subject. See how the government controls the numbers of A+ with non-malay students.

Me, I have 8A+, 3A. Committee members in 3 clubs, 4 international mathematics high distinction awards (3 Australian, 1 UK), various states and district levels competition for Judo and Table tennis. So far I only secured an interview from JPA. Petronas, axiata, khazanah, tenaga nasional berhad.. all failed. I am amazed by the criteria of their selection process. rclxms.gif

you gotta be kidding. With 9A+ and 1A (no A-), taylor's only offers RM8,000 for january intake, and RM6,000 for March intake. And the whole fees for A-Levels is 33k.
