is it true that JPA doesn't sponsor education students?
if I just try to apply, will there be jackpot case where I might get the scholarship?

JPA used to sponsor SPM leaver students, but they've since stopped sponsoring that from 2011. Now, JPA only provide scholarships if you have completed or are completing Pre-U, and have a place in a top university.

If you're still looking for a scholarship for your tertiary education, come by the Taylor's College campuses in Subang Jaya or Sri Hartamas this weekend (31 Jan - 1 Feb) with your forecast or actual results and you can get a scholarship offer on-the-spot!

Our campuses are open from 10am - 5pm for both days.

I am asking on behave of my friend's issue.

My friend is having a rough time in his studies as he failed some subjects and no choice but PTPTN loan need to be terminated. Supposingly he should graduate in this May but because of his subjects failure, his graduation has been dragged to this year October and hence no longer able to take PTPTN loan anymore.

Due to his financial issue, he can't even afford to pay for education fee right now (which is around 9k, for 2 semesters).

My question is, is there any platform / alternatives for him to fund his education fee without compensating on large interest? He has been working part time now but still 9k is a huge amount for him.

Thanks in advance

Hai,

I got offer from RMIT & UNSW in accounting & i really love to further my study there. But i had 1 problem, my application for MARA & PTPTN were not succeeded. I don't want to burden my family to take personal loan since the fees really expensive.

Can anyone help me and give some advice. TQVM sad.gif

If money is an issue, go for the next best option. Do a good degree locally, like this one:

Then go for the ACCA.

In this case actually there is not much of choices except for..bank loan. You can apply for study loans, which is slightly lower interest than personal loan. A number of bank has it but you need to talk to the bank manager yourself. As far as I know, you can ask Bank Rakyat, OCBC, CIMB or UOB. I had friend who applied from OCBC. Interest is definitely higher than PTPTN, but since there's only 2 semesters left, I would suggest you to just take it and return after you graduate.

3 years ago, we had just graduated from SPM - finally gaining that sense of freedom after a long 11 years of school, but confused, uncertain. Researching what's the next step was simply too tedious at that time, personally. Besides finding a good Pre-U, getting a scholarship was also our biggest priority, and heck the process to find and apply for one was not easy at all to say the least.

Fast forward a few years (currently a 2nd year at University of Melbourne), we decided that hey since no one has yet to step up and provide a better service online, we want to take that challenge. We want to help students in Malaysia discover scholarships more easily. Instead of researching and navigating through various websites and portals, visit us at scholardeck.my. We're here to consolidate all necessary information on all available scholarships in Malaysia, and provide personalised scholarship updates directly to you. We'll notify you once the scholarships you want to apply for is made available, and when deadlines are approaching.

Best of luck, peeps! We're always here or on Twitter if you need any help biggrin.gif
