hi,
my brother was accused with false accussation when he was studying in US (chemical engineering degree) which caused him kena gantung 1 sem.but due to much hassle, jpa asked him to come back to malaysia to continue study here.since there are very few IPTA here that allow to transfer credit,he decided to start from first year back (he already in his 6th sem when in US).and as per JPA agreement, they only pay his study fee for 4 years only (completed degree),so he have to find other source to pay the fee from 1st year untill 3rd year in msia.anyone have any suggestion or opinion where can we find scholarship for him?we are not from rich family some more.we are living in single parent family, and i've been trying my best to help him but need to support my own life as well.
if you are under a scholarship, you canot have another scholarship as you signed the contract. The only way you want to sponsor, it is cancel JPA scholarship and apply another
I assuming 6 sem in US is 3 year already. Yup, JPA sign the contract tat they will sponsor his degree for 4 years only, so they wont pay the 3 year you are starting back at a IPTA. They will only sponsor your during your last 4th year. In fact, this already show JPA leniency, if you were to read the contract you signed earlier with JPA, they sponsor you at this uni and only this uni not others. So technically, when you change uni JPA have the rights to not even sponsor you and ask you refund whatever fees they have previously paid.
That is why i say, if you canot, you will have to cancel JPA, pay them back watever you owned and get a new scholarship or reapply JPA again. Or else you have to stick to it and sponsor those 3 years by your own self with other form of scholarship from self or family. If not, this can be a violation of contract and JPA can decide to pull back the scholarships.
If you are earlier, i would have suggest that you maintain at US despite the 1 sem suspension, Then email JPA that will you grad later and minta tangguh. After the suspension just return to normal class and continue study.
