I've a friend with the Sigma 70-300, said the lens is ok for outdoors. But image is damn soft 200mm onwards and when indoor totally unusable at all due to low shutter + no sort of image stabilization. In the end he sold it and went for the 55-200 VR instead.

Pls don say that ur english is bad.... swt.... ur command of english is very good ady   all our english oso okok only.... haha      How often the humidifier needs to activate? as in few times an hour, or few times a day? lol.... juz a noob question for me to have a rough idea how it works  Thx for explaining... =D

Yea... this shud b quite common among camera users, there is other cheaper option, which is the silica gel in a sealed box    but silica gel u cant control the humidity inside, but sometimes the condition will b too dry and the rubber parts will get harden n brittle

second hand d40 is ok . rm900 with kit lense  .

good enough to learn .
if you can afford with d3000 , go for it  . not bad for me .

yea ...initially i aim d90, but my friend tell me to start from bottom , ask me to choose 450d or 1000d (canon ) and the nikon d3000 and d5000 , but seems like nikon are more exp  than the canon 1 ...so i still wonder which is better option for newbies

Well, that's my point of view. CMOS versus CCD, built in motor versus no built in motor. You can use 50mm f/1.8 on 1000D, but not on the D3000 without ability to AF.

no no... w/o checking the price i thought it would be cheap, since it's juz a trigger, shudnt be more expensive than the flash. juz like how remote control is not more expensive than TV then i check the price, memang terkejut haha

it's because he's comparing d3000 to d40. supposedly d40 is better due to bigger pixels n faster flash sync. but then ken rockwell's words are very subjective...1st he say leica sux etc, next thing u know he went out shooting with leica

Hahaha.. Bro.. I own both the cam la.. Still love my D40 though.. But there are some constraint in D40 and i gotta upgrade to D300s.. I can say, D40 sometimes do better than D300s.. Lol..

why you guys so sensitive with gears ah >.< D40 or D300S doesn't matter lah, as long as the person shoots nice photo!
