not getting dry box at the moment cuz im travelling between hostel and home, i can't carry the dry box around... haiz ==

i was in same dilemma as u b4 i buy my 50mm
but in the end cant resist the bokeh of 50mm n i reli dislike the slow AF of Tammy 17-50
another reason i get 50mm is if i buy tammy now, my 18-55 will be wasted
feels like i dun reli own another lens, cos its a kitlens replacement

Hey, do you guys shoot with ADL on or off? It really takes a much longer time for the photo to show on the LCD (bout 3secs) when it's turned on. Maybe the processor of the D3000 is last century's

the lens is actually focusing in and out..not zooming. SLRs can never zoom themselves, need our hand to turn

u cant snap because ur camera was having difficulties to focus. since it's dark, the camera doesnt see anything so it doesnt know what to focus on. u shud turn on AF assist light for this situation, a small bulb in front of ur camera will light up ur subject for awhile to help the camera focus

worst disease about HDR is ppl tend to overdo it~ about the AF assist light maybe some1 with a D5000 can help u with it. i can't~ ;p

Yes using that lens, but on manual focus since I'm shooting through the cage. Not too good with that =/

its a cropped image, the cage too blur until cannot see already.
thats the power of the 70-200 with 2.8 max aperture.
f 5.6 wont be able to do that i think

u can try it with your own kit lens at 5.6
it will blur the nearest thing to your kit len if u focusing something far away
but u cant compare 5.6 with 2.8 of course

Yea using d90... no time tweak anything so video may be very cacat. I dunno is the batt low power, yesterday i charged it fully and it worked like normal, but i only used with 2~3 shots. one day lost all charge?!

Err no, did not crop. This one shoot right through the cage. The cage opening so tiny but thin cage. This is handheld, the owl pretty close to me LOL. No need crop to get so big.
