i think giggs and scholes had a terrible game.
they took a really long time to make their mark.
giggs was the worse of the lot, and was surprised that scholes was subbed instead of him.

macheda looks promising. so much more lively and threatening with him and nani on the pitch. they should have played much earlier.

carrick is a passer but not a playmaker.
he can do some nice passes at times, but he cannot dictate a game like scholes or giggs does.
that's the main difference.

i think kuyt is similiar to berbatov, though not as skillful.
but he makes it up with his workrate.
and that puts him in the right place and the right time more often than not.
and that does get him some decent goals and also good positions.

better than berbatov?
i'd take him anyday

well finished, but i believe carrick should have closed him down much sooner.

very much so. he closed down really slowly and just dived down. too easy IMO.
and carrick played really badly today (same for the past few games)

yes carrick did perform quite bad yesterday. was kinda hoping that he didnt start.

3. new playmaker, i think park ji sung suits the role abit better now. last time he flourished in the playmaker role @ psv.
anyways this is the only statement that i might agree with. someone magical like paul scholes when he's younger.
