Ok, formation talk!!!! Who do you think will start tonight? This is my preferred formation. VDS RAFAEL RIO VIDIC EVRA VALENCIA CARRICK FLECTCHER NANI PARK BERBATOV (sigh) Added on April 7, 2010, 10:12 amQUOTE(l_berd @ Apr 7 2010, 09:59 AM) i would say best case is he sits on the bench (no chance he's going for >10 mins action IF SAF wants to risk him anyhow). VDS Gary Rio Vidic Evra Nani Carrick Fletcher Park Giggs Berbatov I decided to drop Valencia to the bench to give Nani his best position I like the idea of Nani on the right too.. Unless Giggsy can produce on the left, Robben is going to rape us proper. Both wingbacks are key, they have to defend well tonight. Is German football back?? Weak link is Demechelis. Not very high pace but good in the air and at defending. He's the one who gave Nani the FK in the first leg. A lot of Rooney's chances were because of his lack of pace too. Wish he'd put them away though. Our weak links? all over the pitch LOL... OMG can our midfield play anymore?? they keep giving the ball away like its burning hot! Wish Hargreaves were fit. He'd put some spine into that centre. Kick everyone to pieces. United old school style! Seriously though, I pity both nani and antonio, they would have done so much better season if out CMs played 10% better. It seems like Fletch is the only consistent one. Carrick and Scholesy have been patchy. Giggsy is NOT a starter, and don't get me started on our reserves Gibson and wait.. that's all. I think we should just skip midfield altogether and play 4 0 6. Dump all strikers in the penalty box for corners This post has been edited by gizmoduck: Apr 7 2010, 11:10 AM

QUOTE(Sheep319 @ Apr 7 2010, 12:45 PM) I'd put experience over pace over this one. For all we know, Gary might know how to get the ball from Robben with tackling techniques 101. We need O'Shea. No pace but useful for corners and good at doing simple things right. I remember Robben being a big threat during his Chelsea days. Here's to him breaking down with injury minutes before kick off!

QUOTE(Sheep319 @ Apr 7 2010, 01:04 PM) The thing is, is O'Shea fit for the game? He hasn't played any reserves matches has he? (correct me if I'm wrong) No he's not. I was just speaking hypothetically. He is truly missed this season. RB and CM are both areas that need strengthening this summer. Scouts to South Africa pleaase! big money for those who can spot the next Essien. Gary has performed quite badly the last couple of matches. First goal for Chelsea as an example. Safe money is on him to start, obviously. SAF always prefer experience over youth for big matches. He might not even start Nani tbf

ok guys I am going to stop with the pessimism and switch to an optimistic outlook. Berbatov to DESTROY Dimechelis. Nutmeg the Argie, elbowing him in the process, Dimechelis concedes a pen, Berba scores and the long haired defender gets an early shower.
