You must be new here. Hes just playing around lah.

I didnt have the confidence that we'd win this one. Not cos Rooney wasnt in, simply that it just didnt feel right. But i didnt stop believing smile.gif History has it that when we dont win it in one season, we bounce back stronger and harder. THats the beauty of United. So i dont care if Chelsea win this one smile.gif Id rather them than arsenal lols. I cant stand the gooner fans. They seem to think they have the divine rights to win it.

But id really love to see us lifting the european cup, but i dun think itll happen too. But like i said ... It wont stop me from believing we will!

I'm pretty sure can say bye bye to arsenal

Asian handicap stays at barca -1.5. Which means they're expecting barca to run around arsenal tonight

adding to the fact dat silvestre replaces Campbell in central defence, can say bye bye arsenal biggrin.gif

I read something funny in the Arsenal thread. It appears Barca players are going down too easily. From the Arsenal thread, mind you tongue.gif
*
actually it's true. The barca players fall all over the pix! Bojan krkic looked like he was falling before he got hit.it's pretty pathetic to watch that from the worlds best team.

And what did I say abt silves lol. He did a nice 1-2 with messi for the barca goal lol

Jesus christ ... we get it man, u dun rate Gary. You dont have to be so repetitive in your posts. I dont intend to finger you out, but as a United fan, you should see beyond just performance levels. Gary is United through and through, and whilst his performance levels in RECENT years may have dropped a notch after factoring age and injuries, his past performances in years and a decade before cant be just waved away. Hes proven time and time again that United Red runs through his veins, and for that alone, I think he should be given better respect than what you're offering.

My advice is, coming into a United thread, if you've got a qualm with a player, say it once, and move on. You've got the right to criticise but you dont have to go on and on about the same thing like a broken record.

Alright!!! So,contrary to my last promise to not watch the handicap, lol I still did!

In light of my prediction being right for the past 2 Utd game n 2 Arsenal ones,I hope my streak continues!

The thing is,I think the bookies r confused abt this one.I haven't seen a match this volatile in a long time.

Considering we lost to our title rival at d weekend, n bayern beat schalke by d same scoreline, it's surprising we're giving -0.75 ball to bayern tonight.
This indicates tat d bookies r anticipating a 1-0 win for us or mebe a single goal advantage.
In any way, looks like we're in the money to beat bayern tonight!and progress!muahahaha!

I feel like it's gona b like dat nite against Roma wink.gif welcome bayern!! And dine with the devils in hell!!!

I stopped placing money oredi lah boss. The less I play, the more accurate my reading. Haha.

I jus hope my accuracy continue tonight la! Steady leh.

It's hard to imagine we win buy a big margin cos SAF is definitely gona play 451. It's hard to
score much from there. The biggest feat wud be NOT conceding la. Hope we clear it tonight!!yeah!!

After reading 8 pages of comments here, i feel damn proud to be a United fan. The ABU brigade give us shit for saying we're glory hunters, but the passion and intensity of the discussion here is so peaked as if SAF himself would be logging on soon to read what went wrong with the team lols.

Props to air_mood and kobe, but makekeke has his arguments and perspectives so id give him credit for that.

Unless im very much mistaken, Kobe, u dont think we need to reinvent our midfield? After that match, i really thing its time for a new guy in the midfield. Yes we have anderson, and yes his vision is actually pretty tremendous, but we havent seen too much of that happening over a consistent period, and you can claim that he hasnt had enough pitch time, but i also feel that its because he cant seem to get into scoring positions. in 3 seasons, hes scored 1 goal right ? I think the argument becomes a little soft here, because if I were SAF, i dont think id put in a guy who cant score, although he gets brownie points for setting up sum lovely plays. Its a bloody shame hes out for the long term this season, but nobody can predict this stuff.

Scholes is our legend, and he always will be. But his contributions from midfield arent telling anymore. The passes arent sprayed on a consistent basis like they were a fantastic number of years ago. I miss the old scholesy, but like everything in life, his shelf life is almost up, so having said that, ive discounted Anderson and Scholesy in midfield, not in entirety, but on a consistent basis. (notice how i think carrick is shite, hence have excluded him from my discussion)

We really need a midfielder, ala Xavi, Fabregas, SG (i hate him tho and i hope his form stays shit for life), Lamps, Iniesta. Just that spark of creativity. I have faith in Nani and Valencia, and im pretty sure theyre gona burst onto the scene next season. But as of now, id love to see a creative midfielder. Sumone really needs to partner that Fletch/OH (when hes fit lah) and make things happen. I hope Ando proves me wrong and does some magic when he returns.

As for Berba... after seeing all the comments here, its pointless for me to add more. Berba is not arrogant as some might claim.

1) He said that the 30m price tag was weighing him down. It shows that hes not arrogant, because if he was, he'd be saying that its not enough ala Ronaldo. CR9 left to be a fantastic player for RM, altho not winning anything yet. But that 80m never phased him one bit!

2) Berba time and time again says hes happier setting up goals instead of scoring. It instinctively reflects on the way he plays his game. Hes out of position, never predatory, looking to get the ball to sumone who's more likely to score, and he holds up play and thats when the damn opposition team comes back to camp in the box. He doesnt fit the style of play, because he DOESNT WANT TO BE THE TARGET MAN.

3) ive said it before, SAF is not playing him to his strengths that was evident in spurs, and that is between 2 target men. He was at optimum with Robbie keane and one more guy, i cant remember this one. Thats why he only plays well with rooney, because hes always looking for rooney. So if you dont have rooney, you dont have berba. Simple as!!

Having said all that, i hate him. I really do. I cant see his contribution to the team, and my argument still stands, he is not a match winner. He is useful if the score is 1-0 or 2-0, then he tends to contribute a goal or 2.

Ive never missed ronaldo (except at free kicks) but ive always missed Tevez, and you can criticise me all you want on this (especially air mood lols), but his finishing has always been classy and he always tries. We only complain when we dont try, but we never sulk if we tried and failed because our heads are held high, immaterial of the result. WIN WIN WIN, thats the United way, thats the way of the Fans, and thats what Berba will never have!

Lols. I know buddy. hahaha. But im never one to antagonize, and besides, the only area id probably be crucified wud be for NOT DISSING BERBA ENOUGH, and saying i missed Tevez (i know air mood wud prolly give sum kinda PMS-like response tongue.gif )

Well, heres to the last 4 matches of the season, and the defiance of logic with only faith and belief as our instruments smile.gif

Eh Kobe, Berba vs Kobebryant in a one on one situation, who you support ah? (im jus gona roll on the floor laughing at this one)

Depends if you're worth 30 million pounds or not. Seniority is irrelevant.
*
I see where ure coming from in terms of developing the existing players we have, but from the ones you named, i think Anderson is the only one with creativity.

Gibson doesnt have an eye for a pass, he has a fantastic shooting boot
Tosic, im not going to even bother on this one
Nani, has always been my fave, but ive always said hes playing out of position, his real position is actually as a striker as he was in lisbon, same like ronaldo!
Obertan, i aint saying anythin on this one, but i dont think hes supposed to be in center midfield
Fletch, i hated him then, love him now, but i dont see a creativity spark from him, altho he did a ass whooping pass in the bayern game last week
Scholes, old already lah tai lou...
Giggs, still love him, i think he still has it
Carrick is hopeless, and ud prolly b*tch about me on this one
Hargreaves is crocked, and i think he mentioned that he almost will always be

JUST ONE MORE LAH KOBE!! I JUST WANT ONE MORE SUPER CREATIVE DAMN CHUN MAKE MY NUTSS FALL OFF KINDA MIDFIELDERLAH !! KENOT ISIT !??!?! lols. Can we sell Barca the Glazers for Iniesta or Xavi? Id give my left testicle for this one to happen

QUOTE(air_mood @ Apr 12 2010, 01:08 AM)
Always happy to oblige. Tevez can feck right off, the money grabbing prick.
*
See the fella, punya lah laju the respons. Tevez wanted a place to be wanted laaaaah! ok ok ... he aint no angel, but if it really was money that he wanted, then he shudve gotten it. Besides, SAF did offer it to him in the end but he sed it was all too late... which makes it all irrelevant. Bygones are bygones, we muz move one ... sadly ... heee

QUOTE(O-haiyo @ Apr 12 2010, 01:14 AM)
Coming few season will definitely a rebuilding season for us. 3 Premier League trophy and a Champs League. What else can you ask? The only problem is that performance of Berbatov is really pissing me off.
*
Without a doubt here buddy. But heck, it doesnt matter if we dont win anything for 3 seasons, ala 03/04, 04/05, 05/06... altho i think we won a league cup and fa cup sumwhere in there me thinks. What matters to me is that we tried, and this season, it being an abnormal season, i think we did fantastic, especially with the legendary amount of injuries we had to deal with defence.

The real question posed is if SAF is gona be here that long anymore :*( i dont even wana think about it ... bleh. Long live Man United biggrin.gif

I was just naming central midfielders. I did not know we were to name wingers as well. But in any case, Fletcher has an eye for a pass and you've made your mind up with Carrick and I disagree with that. I'm not a fan of his form but I do think he's quality. Bad run of form though. Fletcher and Carrick have defense splitting passes in them while Anderson hasn't been able to show what he is about with injuries.

I rate Hargreaves a lot and a cliche, if he can come back next season, he'll be a new signing. =) We aren't Fergie, we have no idea what the situation is. We'll have to see.
*
Sowee abt that one, lols i wasnt supposed to name wingers. But cudnt help ranting!! tongue.gif I support them all, and more than anyone, i have faith in all of them, except carrick, i dont know why but i jus dislike him this entire season and never was a fan of him in previous ones, he seemed ordinary to me. The squad is about to burst, but the sad part is, im not sure if everyone has stepped up to the plate this season. But its only one season, and everyone deserves to get more than just 1 chance, the problem is that success is paramount to us, especially because of our financial debt thanks to the Glazers.

But id bet u a beer or a damn yummy burger that United will get a new CM this season. U in on it macha? wink.gif

QUOTE(deora @ Apr 12 2010, 01:37 AM)
i started to feel tat old red nose is getting old...just look at ancelotti or morinho when they first came in..they dont even have the time privilege to build their team..yet they can win it in their first season..imagine wat they can do long term..lol
*
He may be old, but he is United thru and thru. U look at Mourinho, even Inter fans dont like him, and he never exudes loyalty or values that any clubs desire, let alone one that is rich in culture like ours, i hate him to the core, and id OD on weed if he managed united one day.

Ancelotti is the same, he doesnt have the passion to be what it is in United.

They are brilliant managers, but they will never be a Manchester United-like manager.

They dont deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Sir Alex Ferguson. He may not be perfected, but the Devil inside of him is what makes this club the best in England, the best in Europe, and the best in the World.

Lols. For abit I thought I was in the Chelsea thread, all the tai lous here. Not that ur not invited, but it's a phenomenon really!when you have the edge, get arrogant and start popping up all over the place simply cos you have the edge keke. I like that. It shows the mentality level we all share.

kick em when they're down right? Awesome shit.

The wheel will spin again, karma bites like a b*tch wink.gif lols, n I always tot Utd fans were the ones w cheapskate mentality,we're not alone! Hallelujah!!

I think you must be new here. I don't intend to offend you, but to some extend, try to use a little logic when visiting a football club forum. In Malaysia, football clubs are supported like religion. We hail our own and crucify others. Naturally if the rivals slip up in any sense, the tendency will be to mock and ridicule them, it applies to everyone.

So if ur insisting on reading the contents of a rival thread then have the courage to put up with what they have to rant about yeah?. Let's use common sense and logic here yeah? That's why the veterans in the forum always have respect from fellow rivals. It's the passion and consideration, try it wink.gif u might even like it

*
Eh been meaning to ask you, are u a chelsea supporter or Man utd supporter ah? Jus curious. I always thot ure a blues fan.

Anyways, what do you expect? United to win every game? We lost our top scorer of the last 2 seasons, we lost at least one more effective striker, this was during pre-season. The expectation was bloody low, and infact everyone was banging on Pool to nick the title this season. Instead, Man United are giving Chelsea a good run for their money and considering we had most if not all our defenders at one point of the season, and we rely entirely on a certain Wayne Rooney, i think we've done pretty spectacularly. Im not even going to go into refereeing decisions that we've had against us at crucial points of the season, but it all evens out anyway.

We love it that the team tries, and if they fail, its ok, we always have the next game. If ur a United supporter, then be a better one. If ur a Chelsea supporter, id shake ure hand and say well done for capitalizing. I promise you, the United will rule again.
