hey guys i lost my 3.5mm audio input cable to pc for 5.1 sound system. do u you know where i can buy them? searching through the net, only found out most of the seller provide the single connector not the triple connector (green, black, orange).
Actually you could use those single cables with 3.5mm stereo plugs. Just get 3 of them and label which is which (with a sticker label) to identify each one. You could also buy each with different colors (to distinguish each cable). wink.gif

Where can I buy good quality headphone 6.3-3.5mm adaptor?
And with extension headphone cable.

Yesterday go to Harvey Norman, no sell there.
Most shops selling audio and video hardware should have them And if you ran out of places to find then try Pasar Road. tongue.gif

I also look for a good quality Optical audio cable.
You can find them in most electrical goods shops, especially those selling audio and video hardware such as TVs and HiFi sets. wink.gif

Dedicated cassette deck and Radio/cassette player
Found a few dedicated tape decks on Mudah.my (for KL area) not long ago, but those are gone (sold out methinks). Most the radio/cassete players I've seen do not have a working cassette player section (ie. spoiled). Same goes with my other cassette players on mini-HiFi and mini-component systems. blush.gif

Anyone knows where can I buy mini jack to rca? Just the adapter, the cables are not needed.

Can try Sri Computers in Low Yat Plaza, as they sell all sorts of hardware there including audio adapters. Other than that, try looking around Pasar Road. wink.gif

Is it possible to get an inline volume control for my Sennheiser HD 449 which doesn't have it?

I saw this on Amazon but can I get one in KL?

Easiest solution is to hack a cheap headphone with a volume control. Also the cheapest and highly available solution... icon_idea.gif

anyone know where to find full copper banana plug? i saw alot banana plug is mostly made of brass or bronze, which is 28% and 15% of copper conductivity.
*
Pure copper by itself is soft (easy to bend and deform), plus very easily oxidised in presence of just air alone. That's why most connectors are alloys... icon_rolleyes.gif

Try searching Pasar Road area first, of all places. tongue.gif

Cool, thanks but not everyone is all that comfortable into hacking stuff.
However, I'll ask around my friends if they have a broken headphones lying around.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Should be an easy job. Just remove the cheap headphone and attach a 3.5mm stereo socket, and you have your volume control. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi. I'm looking for cheap replacement for my home theater digital receiver.
My plan is to still using the default 5.1 speakers & woofers.
The receiver must have these speakers output. Is it possible to get anywhere?

What is your budget? You can actually get a dedicated AV receiver with integrated power amplifier and has those type of speaker terminals. Plenty of choices for dedicated AV receivers... hmm.gif

Am I wrong is it these days av receivers don't have the subwoofer wired terminal.

I don't want to throw away the original subwoofer and get another pre out woofer.
*
Aye, most AV receivers have all the necessary outputs for driving satellite speakers (front, rear, centre, etc) except subwoofer. You can still connect the subwoofer preamplifier output to an external dedicated amplifier to drive that passive subwoofer though... nod.gif

If you want original good quality parts (such as Neutrik, Amphenol, Switchcraft, Belden, Van Damme, Gotham, etc) then recommend looking around online stores such as RS Components, Farnell/Newark/element14, Mouser, Digikey and Parts Express... icon_rolleyes.gif

If not mistaken, you can find some Neutrik/Rean at Pasar Road though not sure about their authenticity. However if you want original/authentic stuff then look to those online stores I've mentioned earlier... nod.gif

KEF X300A, blown fuse and suspected other components failure. Need a quick fix now, meanwhile I'm listening over my Dell desktop speakers..
*
This speaker system uses linear power supply, if not mistaken. If the fuse keeps blowing up then could be one of the components on the board before the transformer, or the main transformer itself. For your information, I do repair speakers though a little overload at the moment. sweat.gif If you are looking for quick fix, then I could take a quick look into it. Just PM me for more details... hmm.gif

Any of you guys know where to buy sound card, internal or external that got guitar input? A friend of mine wants one.
*
He may need a guitar premplifier/amplifier first. Also can try using either 6.35mm-to-3.5mm adapter or 6.35mm-to-3.5mm cable, and connect it to the integrated audio input to test whether the his current audio hardware is able to detect the signals properly (as usually guitars outputs are of very low level or "instrument level" signals). Do note that the guitar signal connection is only mono (only one channel, on the stereo connection it would be the left one that will have the signals)... hmm.gif
