1. Minor correction. B530 is NOT full HD... bought one for my parents last year...

2. shich80: avi is just the container... but what's the video codec? mebbe the codec's not supported... to check... use Mediainfo...

3. shich80: to check total use time for samsung 2009 models i.e. those Bxxx... press info menu mute power.... not sure if it works for 2010 models i.e. Cxxx

lol... I just got mine LA40C530 at Megatronik Electrical shop beside Hong Leong Bank nearby Tesco Puchong at 2650 without astro byond. Can look for Alan which is nice salesman. icon_rolleyes.gif
*
just got mine this afternoon... same price as yours... initially said 2699.. but then said my 'friend' bought from alan for 2650... he check his price list and give me same price... eheheh... thanks 'friend'.... may not got that price if did not quote u... rclxms.gif

btw... he said the b.yond thingie may take up to 2 months for installation.. that's why they give option not to take that voucher... coz few customers *** them edi for the late b.yond installation.... so whoever took the b.yond voucher.. pray hard and good luck in getting your b.yond... hopefully u all can get it before the world cup...

This is a totally different issue compared to the one we face. Anyways, still gave it a go but didn't work still. Thanks.

yes, i follow as per you instruction. Unzip all files onto usb drive. after insert the usb drive, tv show auto detect menu. next i select upgrade sofware menu. then ask me to wait 1 min... finally prompt me msg " No available file upgrade. Please check it and try again".  sad.gif
*
err... did u unzip by dragging all the files into the root of your usb drive or use then "Extract"? make sure to tick the "Use folder names" as well.... the TV is looking for one subdirectory named "T-MSX5DAAC" which also have one more subdirectory "image"... so if you just simply dragged all the files to root of your USB drive... the TV won't find the files required...

ok my problem solved haha , coz i connect TV + ASTRO antenna 2gether , into a splitter , then connect to HDTV .

So now i connect astro antenna directly into HDTV , PQ improve liao .
Now problem is connecting DVD to HDTV lol .

I use normal composite cable can connect , but when using composite cables , TV fail to detect device , but can detect component1 . mafannnn
*
err... u mean when u use component cables the TV fail to detect device? anyway... if ur tv display picture correctly when connecting ur dvd using composite but do not display correctly when using component (or vice versa)... u may need to check ur dvd player... some dvd player does not auto switch / output to all ports... so.. u may need to manually change the output to component so that the signal will go through that port and to your tv...

HTH...

oh , u mean need to manually change , then i better look more into the manual , i cant it saying that it needs to change .
The manual just stated = do not plug 2 video cables 2gether ( composite + component ) .

will see how it goes ,  coz i also dunno there are these kind of settings XD
*
not sure bout ur dvd la.. but mine's like that.. just look at the remote if there's something u think would change the output type and press nia... hehehe.. it won't blow-up the tv la... hehehe...

what's ur NTFS cluster size? by default windows will format it to 4k which is too small for HD mkvs to be running smoothly using in-built player in ur tv.. pls don't compare to HTPC as HTPC has much much bigger processor and memory to cache the mkvs...

BTW.. does this happen to all ur mkvs or certain mkvs only?
