Is it true that when you're cooling the satellite LNB with hydrogen, you'll be better reception?

I just leave it on for almost 10 hours straight without any cooler, try to "warm" this guy up 
Yes, it's real hot underneath it....

The installer use the 20m new cable come with the package, luckily it's just nice and no need to extend further.
After the new disc & decoder installed, took him 2min to configure signals, then wait for another 10min and walla ..... ACTIVATED ... that was fast !!

- I'm rather surprised to see the size is so small, half of the previous!
- I leave it on from 1pm until now still running without any cooler and yes, it's REAL hot underneath it!
- So far no signal interruption, may be still new
- The HD is really impressive, just like DVD quality
- For SD, overall better than the old decoder, but it seem like there are few channels even clearer ... may be I'm blur after so many hours ... will check & re-confirm again.

So far very happy, still got the excitement 

However, I noticed:

1. The boot-up time is quite long, almost 2min, is it normal?

2. The sound seem to be rather weak. Previously I only use around level 20~23 on my TV, but now I have to increase to almost 32~35 for same level of listening, I also tried the following but till the same:
- adjust the Byong volume to maximum
- audio setting = Stereo (Analogue+Digital)
- change HDMI cable and try on different HDMI inputs on TV

3. Each time power off and on again, the last volumn level setting on the decoder gone again, then have to maximise again....

Does anyone has the above issues ?

Signal level afternoon was about 175 now at night about 201
Signal quality seem unchanged BER 0.0E-7

Is this considered weak or average ?

But I just don't understand why they want to "lower" down?
Sometime when we switch to other inputs (eg, DVD, normal TV, etc), suddenly it become so loud and we terkejut 
I must say the Byond HDMI sound level is the lowest compare to all my other type of inputs .... so we have to be very careful to lower down TV volumn before switching to another input.... kind of inconvenient .... again for lazy ppl like me
Bro, you sure can change like this to improve signal ? Got "side-effect" or signal suddenly disappear ? Or suddenly can get other channels ?! (big hope)
Ok, will try this out later at night.

But so far even afternoon about 17x something at night 20x, it's still crystal clear and it seem like no difference to me....
So my question is what should be the average signal level and what's max ?

i have a question.. why sometimes the HD channels will be full screen and sometimes it would be 4:3 ??

erk..whats AVR?took me awhile to get what NGC is..spare me the headache please..

what is the latest firmware version?

I've also tried to turn on subtitle on 201 channel yesterday, it did not work, any idea why?

They dont regard TM's IPTV as a big competitor
So unless they wanna compete with anyone outside of the country then we gonna get local programmes..

Apparently the hot news on Astro FB page is that AXN BEYOND is coming in May
A lot of things are coming in May they say..
I bet a lot has to do with World Cup but dont rule out the recording functions bec0ming available too
But is sucks that they have only 1 tuner for Byond..
Any sifu here can teach give opinion on how to overcome this?

i dun think our net speed will allow this kind of setup to run smoothly

false alarm originally channel 509 cctv9 (english language cctv), has changed channel logo to cctvNEWS

currently these channels are free to view, later on will be slotted into various packages
303 KBS World
305  TVB Classic
334  CCTV 4
611  Astro Ceria
735  Granada TV

cctvNEWS is belong to family package, in another word, "free" channel

so wats is the most viewable channel on Astro now?
