wondering wat chinese HD channel coming, lol

if chinese HD channel, i think they will get the HD content from HK and China?
i wan watch HD TVB drama

well there is no official indication  about new channels coming except for WC channels to start with !

is channel 124 permanent...if no, until when?

Pls dun-lah...me wan those free channel & not tag to those chinese packages..otherwise...haizzz...

One of us got a call this morning from Astro asking whether we wanted to upgrade to the new Astro B.yond Personal Video Recorder.

This wasn't some crank call as we've definitely got the invite for the upcoming launch of the product on June 1.

What's puzzling is that at the original launch of Astro B.yond HD service, Astro execs stated that the regular B.yond set-top box could actually be upgraded via firmware and, with the addition of an external USB hard disk, be turned into a personal video recorder as well.

So with the launch of the PVR, we're wondering whether this feature will still be enabled in the regular Astro B.yond box. More details on this as we await an official response.

just now my all my HD channel is not working. it's just blank. SD channel just fine. Is anyone else encounter this?

So, no Discovery HD?? 

not heard of it.
there are 2 types of HD recording services

1) Byond
- using external USB HD (only works with 320GB Western digital AV HD)
- single tuner, only record and view max 1 channel at 1 time

2) PVR (Astro-MAX-like)
- internal HD
- dual tuner, can record and view max 2 channels at 1 time

Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and click desktop version

2) PVR (Astro-MAX-like)
- internal HD
- dual tuner, can record and view max 2 channels at 1 time

From the statement above,
is that actually astro will launch another "Byond" box that can act as PVR? Like Astro Max?
or just software update...

So,  we need to buy external Hard disk that is provided by Astro?? 

And how much is the price for the new PVR? Surely it will cost us DA-BOMB!
