We have a lot of those dishes here in Sarawak. People don't even bother to hide, with some even putting them in their front yards. I'm only reluctant to buy it as it can receive mostly Indon channels. But if the list like the one above can be obtained.................. brows.gif

Yeah. There are loads of dish here in Sarawak. I wonder why.
But receiving HD signals through dishes and FOC.

That is awesome. Too bad some channels are just tied to their service providers and can't be unlocked.

Just like normal HBO & HBO HD...

CHANNEL 124 - AF FINAL HD will only be a temporary channel beginning from the start of the concert until its end..

There is no further programming on the channel beside the AF FINAL HD..

Hope this clears the air and everyone understand now

I am currently using 2nd decoder package in my apartment (main decoder and billing/mailing is my in-laws' terrace house) and thinking of getting the B.yond

My main question is: How can I have the B.yond installed in my apartment?

Can I just inform Astro that my in-laws want to install B.yond, and when the installer come, I negotiate with the installer and get him to fix the B.yond set at my apartment?

If a user like me is under 2nd decoder plan, will upgrading to B.yond affect the 2nd decoder service? Will the 2nd decoder still be able to decode normal Astro signal which my in-laws will still be using?

Thanks in advance for all advises...

cannot use centralised dish, must change to new dish because byond decoder is using higher frequency when viewing HD channels, request LNB with 2 connectors so that both decoders can operate without interference with each other

Thanks for the reply...

But as we are living in different location (about 1km apart), can I get the B.yong installed in my apartment while my in-laws still using the normal decoder? I believe I can't get 2 sets of B.yond decoder+dish as I'm under 2nd decoder package, right?

If that cannot be done, I guess I will have the following option -
1. no B.yond, no HD
2. terminate my 2nd decoder plan; re-activate my previous account and upgrade to B.yond (meaning paying for normal monthly subscription... cry.gif )

can, after they install byond and new dish, just bring your byond box to wherever there is a astro dish, byond box can use both old and new dish, if your place doesn't have any dish, ask your local electrical store+astro installer to install one for you, or you can buy astro dish cost about RM70 and diy

I think if that is the case, you just directly nego with installer. There's installer adv here for byond installation. Actually Astro won't allow you install 2nd decoder at different location from main decoder.

Oh, the old dish can receive B.yond signal ah? I thot we must use the new dish for B.yond... If that's the case, why would installer install new dish for those who upgrade?

Well, let me check with Astro whether they can arrange for my B.yond before WC starts... rclxm9.gif

True, but I believe there are many users doing that... laugh.gif
