QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Mar 31 2010, 02:56 AM) You should add wKKay in user list also. He's using N900 too. It's ok, I added myself Added on March 31, 2010, 7:46 amYay, glad this is fixed. It's *really* annoying when the phone's on the desk and lights up when locking. * 5530 Device autolock switches on the display

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Apr 1 2010, 12:01 AM) The speaker is soft, even when plugin to headset, it's softer than N97. But the speaker sound quality is great, seems getting better. The N900 when used with the stock headset is really loud, I don't think I can use it past 50-60%. Do you listen to a lot of classical music or something?

another factor for battery life is the network operator.
maxis hotlink transfers me to hsdpa more easily and keeps me on it much longer than telstra or hutch in australia.. these parameters are good for performance but bad for battery life...

I don't understand why you would want to access the internet through the phone when you are already at a desktop?

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Apr 24 2010, 09:57 PM) all those not using nokia n900 or google one or milestone because it cant full page and take too long to load The full version of the site is really bloated. It takes noticably longer to load it compared to the mobile version, not to mention the flash ads. Let me know if you're still having trouble sticking to the desktop mode.

QUOTE(takeshi99 @ Apr 26 2010, 12:13 PM) the question is for hotlink prepaid, it doesnt support hotlink *100# menu which we can select the menu... i wanna subscribe to the hotlink surfing services but cant.. Open a terminal, enter "ussdquery.py interactive". Then, enter "*100#", and from there enter your selection as usual.

QUOTE(hanissyazwan @ Apr 26 2010, 12:48 PM) good day all!!! im new here..im planning to buy n900 soon. i want to ask u all, what is gps software that u all use to navigate using n900?? anyone already install garmin xt into his n900??? can give a tutorial on how to install. coz n900 use mimo rite?while most of nokia phone use symbian. is there a huge diffrent between mimo and symbian.. ?? You will be greatly disappointed if you expect to use the N900 for navigation. You won't be able to install Garmin XT onto it. That notwithstanding, the builtin GPS receiver is terrible. It fails to hold on to a lock, often falling back to SUPL. Even when it is locked to 6 satellites (which I think is the max for it), the best error margin I've seen is +-30m. My yellow Garmin eTrex performs better despite being 5 years old.
