hmm, thinking to change my n97 to this n900

but i reach from online,
i found

Bad:
• No Bluetooth PBAP or rSAP support, so it will not synchronize contacts with Car Kits
• No Turn by Turn on OVI Maps!! The N900 has a bespoke OVI Maps install that is basically rubbish. This is a killer feature for many people, and if you need it; buy another phone, as it doesn't look like Nokia are interested in updating it.
• No MMS Support, you can't send or receive Multimedia messages. (I can hear the Apple brand-droids laughing already!)
• OVI Suite isn't supported on the N900, yep, you heard that right!
• PC Suite isn't 'fully' supported, you can't use the SMS feature for example!
• The Screen isn't Multi Touch
• You can't copy/paste from/to Emails. This one I can't believe, for an 'Internet Tablet', this is a must have feature
• Cant mark/unmark multiple message to read/unread status
• Steep learning curve for non techies, you'll need to understand Linux and the maemo OS to get the most from it.


hmm......mms and copy and paste will be a big issues.

is it going to fix it on next firmware? btw, portrait mode also need to install myself or next firmware going to be included in?

software limitation i understand, thats why i looking some answer from u all about the 3rd party. as im thinking to use android OR n900.

since many things had been fixed with 3rd party.. i might consider more on it. coz i need a normal phone features, but with a fully compatible browser which juz like my laptop

this is going to make me think and think for the whole day. tempting!......after i get to know more about this phone. previously was not able to buy one as low cash.

iphone will not in my list!

juz thinking about the 3rd party software.
i tried android with some times, market is a good place to get 3rd party software.
donno n900. thats why i come here to read and ask for more info.

but then, juz to know more more b4 i decide to get which one 1st only.... with open minded. and that day went to lowyat plaza tested, i like n900 coz the browsing experience!... SMOOTH!

hmm.... lets hope that more and more user friendly add on to this mobile, so by end of this month, i will own one

today cannot tahan, traded my n97 for this n900. playing with it now. REPORTING!

btw, how can i set my DIGI 3G? so it can online?

then i disconnected my cable

i open X terminal

press "Root", but shown not found

press "root", got many things came.

which one is correct?

not only browsing....haha... using 3G to download some application and install, u know la, new phone, new OS, excited to play more. too bad, working cannot play too much.

Added on April 8, 2010, 1:56 pmi didnt do anything with the folder, as Aspire`s post on the 1st page, he said to put on the root folder of the mass storage. what i understand, is when i open the mass storage drive, that one with alot of folder such as .document, .music, .bla bla bla.

then follow the step, open X terminal

type "Root" then enter. but then my X terminal shown "not found"

then i type "root" (smaller capital) .. it show something execute, then i continue to write in the fiasco.image.bla bla bla



then i open my healhinfo to check my cpu, it only show my cpu running at 500mhz.

mine at 500MHz, when i 1st go into th conky, it shown 800MHz. but later will back to 500 ..... normal?

now working, will try to play more things then see how it goes.

i found from other forum, saying that Original Set selling in Malaysia got original "Pinyin" support. Is it true?

if OC i also manage to OC to 800MHz.

after 2 days playing, i think its really hard to adapt how to treat it as a Phone. as a MID (mobile internet device), i thnk this one better than others to me.

but as a phone, even searching contacts also need to open up the qwerty keyboard to click and search,

hope that they will be more virtual keyboard support in the contact searching area.

and i do hope it can be vertically and horizontally support (landscape and portrait).

becoz yesterday my mum called, i was sleeping, and pick up the phone, she sound very soft, cant really hear. WHY? COz i didnt know i listen to the phone UP SIDE DOWN..... lol!

but firefox for me quite hard to use, as the back and forward quite hard to use, hmm.... i prefer the original one, but if something like Opera will be best, coz i dont like to press "Back" but the browser reload the whole page, i prefer like opera, once i press "back" can straight away BACK

got "back" but i like what opera browser did, can straight away back without reloading the page.

do opera came out a browser for us n900?

now i can straight away view flash video on facebok, read comic on forum. the best la!

but i hope there are a features can support "back" which no need to keep reload, juz show me the previous page i went straight away.

anyway, any nice application or themes u guys using? Lowyat Theme for n900? hahhaa

want to show off? get nexus one. is hardly to see anywhere in malaysia, only certain place selling ap or certain ppl got it fron hk or singapore.

well... n900 is the best 4me. nw i work, went out do thg.. with internet, i can do wat i want juz like a laptop with me.
