Softcover, large print. I always read in bed and softcovers give more flexibility for ...eh.... change of positions.

Paperback, due to size considerations. Hardcover is only for books I really want & have been waiting for some time. Oh, and if the release is not so frequent (ie Wheel of Time. Malazan Empire books). Not so for books that are released fairly frequently like Discworld series etc.

Paperback.. Why? Because it's usually at least 50% cheaper than the hardcover. lol.. Price notwithstanding, I'll take hardcover any day.

Soft covers for practical reasons. I do most of my reading while waiting and I can carry a soft cover wherever I go with me.

Buy softcover and then wrap up with a hard plastic to get hardiness to it. Softcover too easily get dog-earred.

Paperbacks! Easier to turn the pages while reading on the bed. =)

But, but, hard covers will look like an ancient tome when everything oxidizes. Cooool.

Noticed most people opt for softcover coz it's cheaper...but what if they are priced the same? Which would you go for? Because i know countries outside Malaysia sells both soft/hardcover at roughly the same price. With maybe RM2~5 difference.

I would still go for softcover...can fit nicely on my book shelf and it's light. Tried holding a 1kg book for 3 hours and it's no longer fun reading...

Hm, tough choice. Soft cover is cheaper, hard covers will cost an arm and leg most of the time. But with hard covers, you can open the book as wide as you want without fear of creases to the spine (I hate that when it happens to my soft cover books, the reason why I usually don't let anyone touch them). In the end, I prefer soft cover since I'm pretty kedekut wan... But I'll go for hard cover if the book is really special/cheap for a hard cover/some one 'sponsor' me.
