Push the orange latches and pull the cover. You have to pull it quite hard the first time but no worries, just pull.

I have trouble with the big latch. The small one yields when I push, and that side of the back cover come up a little. But the big latch doesn't seem to move even a milimeter and that side doesn't open... Any petua to open it?

The buttons do not pop out the cover. You have to pry open the cover by your hands

Thanks - eventually did managed to get it off, but hurt a couple of fingers along the way. Now running bottomless until I can get it to dualboot properly with XP, in case i need to manually remove the harddisk to restore the original image currently residing as a discwizard image.

Anyone had luck getting it to dual boot?

Hmm, looks like installing XP as dualboot with the default Win7 hit a deadend (The installer overwritten the Win7 partition). Anyone knows how to extract the Win 7 starter installation from the restore partition? Can't seem to find the answer from g

Cheapest way to squeeze out more performance out of the puny CPU and the meagre 1G of RAM?

Load up Windows XP.

Mine speed up noticeably with that venerable OS

lets say if i wan to run win xp on it, i shld burn a recovery disc for win7 1st, then install win xp rite ? can i install it wf a pendrive? or someone can borrow me his/ her external drive ? lol

Don't need to, because you'll have to get another external drive should you want to reset the hard disk. Better just get the Seagate Discwizard - it can image a hard disk onto an external HDD, and you can turn a thumbdrive into a Discwizard boot disk.

Incidentally my 210 ships with a Seagate HDD, so Discwizard is supported
