its gud! testing now...but how to install ram ar? no open hatch at the bottom.

open your battery.. you can see the orange part.. press that orange button,the lid at the back of the netbook will pop out.. smile.gif

Oh ya, my netbook D drive already have the recovery , do i really still need to backup? My friend told me it's not neccessary as i had the recovery in the hard disk.

u need to just in case when u change to a 1tb hdd...

Well, there's possibility that the hard disk fail and then you lose your recovery..

I see. >.< SO is it possible to save it into pendrive since my friend told me that the HP backup software do not have that feature

@eguy1314, files are too big to be stored in a pendrive, maybe a External HDD might work.

hello all. got questions here. i'm planning to change hdd and install xp (yeah, oldskool os i know....). let say if suddenly i want to revert back using win7, how to install? (to get back the win7 starter os). does the hp recovery have it?

The files are in HP Recovery partition. But making a backup of the disc, you need 4 DVDs.

change hdd=void warranty since they have a huge sticker that covers that HDD there sweat.gif You can recover it provided you dont delete that partition.

3 DVDs actually. Juz burned them yesterday using internal DVD writer of my desktop ( was using sata to usb adaptor ).


Btw, TS pls add info to the first post regarding the warranty and the sim card slot so that new users can refer to it.
