It could turn to the right direction if TM starts to man up and admit they FAKAP because put cap too low. Knowing them and their ego, they won't or at least until they gonna eat the dirt when their little scam goes flop.

SO now they want to cap all services

A sign that they bloody refuse to upgrade their rusty infrastructure and wants to force our hands now. So what its going to be. 60GB for hsbb and 10GB for normal user only? refuse to spend money on upgrading the network, so just blindly cap everyone

They forget that people spend on anything more than 512kbps is because they are heavy bandwidth user. Does anyone here subscribe to 4mbps just to use 20GB of data transfer every month? Seriously let me know if anyone is doing this. Lets see who wants to subscribe to their high speed crapping if they cap everything

Please TmNet, go bankrupt and die a horrible death.

Its people like this who are the reason why our country can never progress. No different from our current politician. Retarded b*stards

I suggest

20Mbps - RM229 - 350GB (off-peak 12am-9am bandwidth unlimited ) (Power pack)

10Mbps - RM159 - 100GB (off-peak 12am-9am bandwidth unlimited ) (Extreme pack)

5Mbps - Basic pack - 30GB RM109 (off-peak 12am-9am bandwidth unlimited ) (Entry/Basic Pack)

look im ok with caps as long as the cap speed are not slow

eg

lets assume
1mb = 150KB/ps
5mb = 750KB/ps
750KB/ps - 30% = which will be around 525KB/ps

Im ok if the speeds are decreased by 10% to 30%

any cap below 1/2 is tolerable

Now 4mb combo is at rm140 already, I believe it's made purposely so that 4mb<5mb, thus i think the price for UniFi won't get any lower.

Plus, TM will claim UniFi is a triple play service and worth to be more expensive than 4mb package.

However, they need improve on the cap thou.

First was their advertising in newspapers which look like an Ad for U mobile (ytl must be happy that TM is doing them free ad campaign) and now this? stupid pricing and stupid bandwidth cap. Whoever that's running their marketing strategy should find new jobs or go home and sleep.

Smells like a scam to me.. Gov gave them a couple billion to lay the lines and they purposely make the package so that no one wants to sign up. In the end, they benefit cos less subscriber to deal with, less cost for them (don't need to connect the last mile fiber to subscriber's house and less equipment to buy) but still able to get the gov's money. What a nice way of earning money..

We should start a company also.. call it LYNet. Den we propose to government that we'll supply the latest tech in broadband and once we have the money, create a few package which is ridiculously priced so that no one will subscribe.. Free money and don't need to do work also. smile.gif

From the picture on the first post, does the Set Top Box only has HDMI port to the tv?
Does the box has other output for CRT tv?
Does it means that if I have a CRT tv, I cannot use it?

I'm still fed up with the download cap.

I don't need those IPTV shit. Just give me a freaking 20 mbps line and no caps, TM.

which of the package below will you be subscribing?
None of the 3 choice, especially when they have sucky cap and F-UP the customer plan.
I like to vote boycott! So where do I click?

Cap is stupid, but unfortunately we should be expecting it - most ISPs around the world have caps, it's the best deterrent for piracy. I'm surprised Streamyx hasn't introduced it earlier. Though they should practice fair capping that other ISPs follow. I think the standard rate for HSBB in the US is about 250 GB a month in the US. TM should go for cap rates like that.

Does the TV channel watching eat into cap as well? It'll be hilarious if you leave the TV overnight on and it eats all your cap for the month  sweat.gif

If the Cap also applies to the IPTV, I wonder what will happen while watching F1, then the Cap is activated.
Will it be in slow motion? tongue.gif
