If they implement the cap on HSBB ,dont you think they will implement it across all their broadband range? Anyway, i'll be testing out this service to see if its good tongue.gif My telephone bill including internet also about Rm 130, so adding about 20 bucks wont make much difference.

No cap but expect the usual bandwidth management tricks like throttling youtube, ppstream, rapidshare & similar.

As long as they don't throttle adult sites, I'm good.

Also, for the 60G cap is combine cap for 1 month or daily cap of 60G/30Days??

it's for one month bro, if TM capped at 60GB/day, nobody will make noise smile.gif
Just wait till end of the year or next year, if TM will come out with proper documented cap thingy. For the time being just use what ever connection available currently in your house, streamyx, berukband etc. If they see poor take up rate maybe, I say maybe, TM will remove the cap completely, reduced pricing or introduce new package etc. After all, they've invest substantially for the roll out, and poor response means Doom brows.gif

The thing I like about caps is that TMnet won't be overselling. It is impossible to provide everyone with unlimited bandwidth, especially with such high speeds.

Currently streamyx is overselling with unlimited bandwidth, which is why they resort to throttling.

IPTV bundle will probably be one of their main selling point to utilize the available extra bandwidth.

Internet surfing will probably just be a lil faster than your Streamyx for foreign contents.

The funny thing is that they don't even know where are their IPTV audiences are and rolling out their services to other irrelevent areas.

I am thinking of subscribing to VIP20 and share the usage with my neighbour. Instead of subscribing to VIP5 for RM149/month with a cap of 60GB (if they implement), we will pay RM125/month with a cap of 60GB (if shared by 2. but it will be a give and take).
We will have a speed of 20Mbps instead of 5Mbps.
After all, they are giving a N wireless router which can get signal a few houses away.

What do you guys think?

Well, to me it seems risky. You'll be tied in for a 12 month contract (or is it 24 month?), so if they decide they don't want to use it anymore. You'll have to bear the cost of RM249 yourself every month.

Well, they will have re-think about their cap limitations now since it's widely announced via press

You know it's sometimes hard to share the allocated volume because they don't provide a detailed breakdown. Your neighbours might go and overuse it yet deny doing so.If you try to throttle him on your router, he might get suspicious of you..
