I think a reasonable cap is needed for HSBB and slow down to 90% / 56K if exceeded to deter Heavy downloaders from overloading the entire network with their abusive downloads (don't ask for caps like 500gB , 1TB because it makes no sense, whats the purpose and it ain't gonna happen anyway)

Well most of us need higher speed so we could download faster, instead of waiting for hours just to download a patch or some files. No need to open the computer whole day just to download something.

Yes, if you wanna stream HD videos 10Mb's is needed for 1080p and 5Mb/s for 720p. Plus you get to upload files alot faster and if you share your connection with your family members the lag should not be so obvious.

I think TM can implement the cap but with higher bandwidth or else they can cut the speed to 50% and not 10% as what they currently do.

5mbps, 50% = 2.5mbps..
10mbps, 50% = 5mbps..

I think this should be ok...10% is nonsense..

but they do mention that its just capped to 20%, means for 5mb then after 60Gb dwld, the speed will reduce to 1mb.. u can still dwld/youtubing/etc2 but at low speed laa

yup, that's true

2.56 MB/sec to be exact.. but still that is theoretical speed in perfect 100% efficiency.. considering some overhead, congestion, etc, if u can get 2.3 to 2.5 MB/sec is good enough

512k and 1Mbit customers are their cashcows...they will never reduce the amount you pay, maybe increase they will increase the speed

which speed package do u subscribe with Time Fibre? and were you using the BOOST feature?

i am not using boost = = 10Mbps only

I prefer to have a cap, and obtain quality speed rather than overselling. This is a world with scarce resources. There is just no such thing as unlimited.

A cap with speed reduction would be good, but of course with reasonable speed cap.

I see many people complaining about 60GB is not enough. It is definitely not sufficient, but remember, this is scarcity.

err.. how much you need to pay per month ??
