Even Ipoh Central and its major suburbs also no news how to even expand to small towns like Taiping and Kuala Kangsar? If they come to my place, I willing to pay RM150 per month for VIP5 package.... |

Tm does throttle streamyx. But I use proxy to bypass it. So don't care much. HSBB is still a long way to go from here. Sigh.

i am very confused about high speed broadband since i got my 5 mb hsbb installed a week ago.
before use hsbb : i was thinking maybe the ping will be lower of cause connection will be faster. after used hsbb : the ping did not improve, some times disconnect and even worst ping, restart/ reload ip almost the same, surf 90% of the site only get 200kb below speed[should be getting atlist 400kb per sec = 80% of the speed] all i can say is 90% of the time connection unstable = high ping + low download speed + disconnect most of the time. just wonder what is high speed broadband really mean |

I had the same problem initially when I got my UniFi. I was getting only 80-100KB/s downrate on my PC. I compared the speeds I got with the technician. Apparently the technician was getting higher speeds that me. So something was wrong. Turns out that I had to update my NIC driver. After restarting and testing again, I got about 500+KB/s. I tested downloads from http://mirror.internode.on.net/ Cheers This post has been edited by rogue: Apr 25 2010, 07:40 AM |

QUOTE(azetect @ Apr 23 2010, 03:57 PM) maybe i am the unlucky oneĀ try using a wired connection directly and see if there is any changes in the network speed.it could be that you have an old b or g device in your house and that the network is being throttled back to b or g speeds due to that device. Please do correct me if I am wrong.Thanks![]() Added on April 23, 2010, 4:22 pm NIC driver only for Lan Cable correct ? i'am using wifi N This post has been edited by knuxed: Apr 23 2010, 07:09 PM |
