I saw ambank HR today. I applied for a job under project management. i asked for 2500 minumum starting pay. they said its normal for a fresh grad from an overseas university to get 2500-2800. its not bad since i dont do well in exams, however i can talk my way out of a contract with the devil if i wanted to.

not recommend amb... hell place...

you arent really explaining why. all you sound like is a disgruntled employee. you are probably one of those people that go home at 5.30pm
so far im having a good experience at ambank. my co-workers and bosses are friendly. i get a lot of work. its my 3rd week and im staying back until 10pm. if you arent willing to put in the hours and just treat it as a job you arent going to get anywhere.

1-3 months bonus just for everage person..i heard if can perform well can get about 7 months..forgot to inform that I am in IT line(programming/databases).
*
one to three months seems right. 7 months sounds close to impossible. IT is there just to support the business. The bank would much rather choose to give a 7 month bonus to a trader than an IT staff. where do you work? TF3?

Dont know...that is what my head hunter said, she get the info from her previous candidate who currently working at Ambank. Anyway, now I decide to join the MNC vendor after consideration work environment( flexibility, working hours, location, low possibility to get headached with dificult end-user and office politic )

working environment in AmBank is okay. everyone is friendly. unfortunately i think this bank might not be as performance based as other bigger banks. I see a lot of lazy people around.

I've been interviewed by AmBank's subsidiary last month and took 3 tests which I believe I didn't do very well. Luckily I've been called by AmBank Group's hr personnel within 2/3 weeks after the first session and called for the 2nd interview with the hr. Asked the hr how many people were selected for the 2nd session, the hr said that I am the only one and it supposed to be the final interview (which I don't really understand what final interview means - some ppl said it is for the hr to concur). Thus, I went to the 2nd interview, further discussed on hr matters and the main concern of hr I believe was about the salary. It went well and I asked the hr bout my current status directly - "What is my status now? Am I accepted? Or..?" and the hr personnel said "Basically yes, you are accepted by the hiring department and recommened by the hiring department as well, and we are to get the final hr approval as to confirm the hiring". And she said it will take another 2/3 weeks to revert back as to prepare everything and get the 'signatures'. What do you think? Am I getting the job? Or still 50-50?  sweat.gif

I dont have much respect for HR. After my boss interviewed me, the HR interview was more of a formality. Interviewed by a lady with not great english and couldnt even ask the right questions. It took me 1 and a half weeks to get the offer letter after the HR interview. Would have taken longer if my boss didnt push for it.

My bosses tried to confirm me early. HR only put out the notice 2 months later and by that time I had finished my 6 months probation. More so, they found it fit to reduce the raise my bosses were willing to give me. Im not disappointed about the money im getting cause im quite comfortable with what i have. However I see my raise as a reflection of my performance at work and what my bosses think of me. I would think if my bosses were happy with me they would go the extra mile to make me stay. HR who has never seen me after my interview has the final say on it.

I also had some trouble getting my portal stuff set up. Turns out you cant call HR at 5.30, they have all left the office by then.
