Another failed project by TM. Providing such a low monthly quota defeats the purpose of having HSBB in the first place. Does TM still thinks broadband is for casual chatting and email checking?

which is why we need them to promise, commit and deliver instead of giving ambiguous answers n not keeping to promises

I think most will agree putting a cap is unavoidable but at the very least the amount must be reasonable. We're taking HSBB here, not dial-up access. Further, the throttled speed once data cap is exceeded must be reasonable as well. We're still paying premium price for HSBB, being throttled to 10% of the speed for the package subscribed or even 1Mb/s is not funny. A more reasonable/usable throttled speed would be 50% of the subscribed speed.

My figures of 150GB comes from some calculations

a 5mbps maxed out, can download roughly 1.3TB a month. So 10% of that would be 130GB, and I just rounded it up to 150GB for additional buffers.
Would this be for one person or for the whole household? wink.gif
I suspect for additional users in the house, additional buffers may be necessary. Also, with more and more things being data intensive day by day, a magic figure today may no longer be relevant tomorrow. As much as I hated caps (though I do see the importance of it), my main beef is with the speed given after data usage is exceeded. TM should look into giving more reasonable speed to use rather than throttling all the way to 10% of the speed subscribed.
