I don't mind cap, but it's too damn small. Price is not worth it considering average malaysia income.

Yeah right, i spend over RM300 on Steam games last year where in the end ,all 32 games need 90GB to download every single one from scratch. On November, i downloaded 30GB of games, just in 2 days.

Considering all the patches, mods, dlc and shit, i need about 25GB per month that includes 10GB allowance for a big Steam game each month. WTF is this capped internet shit?????

Better get the damn bandwidth monitor then since im gonna use it in both countries.

Also, when you torrent, you are actually using double bandwidth,as in if your movie is 3GB,you are actually downloading 6GB+. Have fun with HSBB.

There goes my dream of using OnLive to play Crysis on i-Phone/netbook. doh.gif

I agree with the steam thing. Some patches are 100mbs in size even, and if you have a few games, expect to download like 400-500mb easily. We PAID For these games.

I just checked my internet connection usage. I restarted my pc yesterday, and didnt do any downloading, just surfing and reading some manga on onemanga.com. I've already used 700+MB downloads and 300+mb upload. That's on a 1mbps streamyx line without actually actively downloading files.

I honestly think the cap is sufficient... I mean, we only use internet for youtube, Malaysian Insider, facebook, msn and skype ... Nothing else... lol!

If gov has this mentality, I think they are being stupid... lol!

I do admit, even though 90 GB is sufficient for me but for the price they are offering, its a freaking rip-off... lol!

How to progress like this???

I'm sure once the penetration is improved, I'm sure iTunes, Universal studios and etc... will be offering loads of online content... TM should have taken into consideration about all these...

Erms... i dont understand what is all this fuss about.. there are different packages catering to different group of users. For me i am a casual user. so the first package is targeted to people like me.. For heavy user that download more than 10GB a day shud opt for a higher packages.. Take for example you wanna buy a car... but u want a car that fit 8 person.. Then you complain that apala.. the Kangcil mana boleh masuk 8 person. Stupid perodua. Shud make the kangcil bigger to fit 8 person. Well for me i think the price is still high compared to our neighboring country. They should reduce the price by 20-30%

The government takes our money and hands it over to TM to build up the infrastructure for Unifi. I call that subsidising. Then TM turns around to rip us all off. Worse part is they're a monopoly with little competition, thy only thing we can do is boycott disUnifi.

Boycotting unifi we still lose. u know why. cauz we fall back onto 1mb streamyx adsl which also belongs to tmnut.

moral of the story, even settling for lesser of the 2 evils, tmnut still makes money off us.

The one who truly benefit is the tmnut staff with 30% discount, rich elites and those very very special important people rolleyes.gif

At least boycotting Unifi may force them to give us a better deal. It's the best we can do.
