Catalyst 10.3 has gone officia a few moments ago... u can grab it from AMD website...

at the drop down menu on the home page, choose Graphic -> ur OS -> Mobility Radeon (not Radeon) -> ur card (categorised by family)

    * Panasonic notebooks (please check with your notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)
the package u download will be 1.1MB, which would check ur laptop's hardware and grab the driver if it fulfills the requirements mentioned above...

But Sony VAIO, Toshiba & Panasonic laptops are not in included in the list for this driver..meaning have to depends on their OEM for drivers sad.gif..

10.3 is 8.17...

same as 10.3, no support for switchable graphic with GMA, Sony, Toshiba and Panasonic laptops...

Downloaded the 32-bit setup executable twice using Catalyst Mobility Utility but failed to run it. Obtained error which has something to do with the checksum of the executable. sad.gif

Is anyone facing this problem?

Yeah. I obtained Catalyst Mobility Utility from there. Tried downloading for the third time. Still failed. Guess something is really wrong with the setup executable.

installed smoothly, no hiccups at all... did a clean uninstall...

ran 3D Mark Vantage on it, GPU score dropped a little, CPU score raised a little...

Added on April 29, 2010, 11:44 amand it's recognized as Catalyst 10.4 on GPU-Z...

So, they fixed the problem of 10.3 that show 9.12 tongue.gif...

yup,i downloaded 32bit... i keep on removing cache then download again. no choice, use back 10.3 lor
went to ATi forum just now. seems like not only we 2 having this problem...

i've have test leak 10.5 catalyst.. have switchable graphic option.. the result? nothing happen.. when playing dirt2, white screen flashing here n there.. haha! now i'm back using 10.4.. happy.gif

launch the setup for ati catalyst.. after it extract, there will show to install or uninstall.. uninstall it first ( it's uninstall the former catalyst )..

after uninstall,install the new one using 10.5 setup and then restart.. wink.gif

after uninstall, run Driver Sweeper in safe mode...it's a freeware and specialize in driver cleanup...

after that then u install the new driver...

can't help u bro... no experience with dual GPU...

afaik Catalyst 10.6a seems to support it, but take note that "a" stands for alpha...

well, AMD has never mentioned anything that switchable graphic is supported, not even NV as well actually... (by that i am not referring to Optimus, since technically it's not really "switching")

m17x iirc is using NV's own Hybrid SLI, and that's wat Optimus is based on really... the dedicated GPU renders the graphic while the integrated GPU ouputs the graphic...

m11x is real switching as output of the 2 GPU is independent... the dedicated GPU output it's own graphic, so does the integrated graphic... this is wat other systems like BenQ S42, Asus UL80Vt, etc are doing...

i dunno anyone has the same problem as me... but it's pretty annoying after installing Catalyst 10.5...

my idle and load clock are stuck in (core/memory) 450/600, while it should be 200+/300 and 550/667 respectively...

anyone with the same problem???

i know AMD bumped up idle clock in this release so that there's better performance during idle for Eyefinity, but now it seems to screw up mobile GPU as well...

Hmm..i've tried running Fifa 10 to get the load clock..
my idle clock 220/405 and load clock 550/697...

10.6 out...

same thing, HD2000 to HD5000 series, no switchable graphic support sweat.gif, no Toshiba, Sony or Panasonic laptops...

i have some problem using this Mobility Catalyst any version than the acer original vista ati driver with acer 4730zg, i am using vga output to crt monitor and laptop lcd off, while acer original vista ati driver without problem, using Mobility Catalyst would sometimes crt "lost signal" and the laptop lcd auto turn back on, i tried acer win7 ati driver at vista still same problem, i even tried most if not all acer ati driver for other acer laptop model, that have their inf listed ati 3470 model, all have same problem.

perhaps u can try BatteryCare as well...

10.10 seem to fixed the laptop vga port switch off after awhile issue.

Added on November 2, 2010, 9:29 amon the sidenote, the new display driver, mouse movement seem to smoother in games.

Added on November 3, 2010, 5:33 amthe issue seem back on.

Added on November 3, 2010, 5:37 amit just doesnt happen as often as last times.
