no switchable graphic again? or i miss something?

how do u do a clean uninstall for ati driver?

launch the setup for ati catalyst.. after it extract, there will show to install or uninstall.. uninstall it first ( it's uninstall the former catalyst )..

after uninstall,install the new one using 10.5 setup and then restart..

that is still not the cleanest...

after uninstall, run Driver Sweeper in safe mode...it's a freeware and specialize in driver cleanup...

after that then u install the new driver...

i thought what i did before is the cleanest..

after ive installed the 10.5 , the cytalyst control didnt show up...wats wht prob here? i keep on uninstall n installing but still nth happend...didnt show up

I did that and got some error message appear when I clicked on the CCC.

It stated GPU not detected. The bios should I put Hybrid or dGPU?

did u download the full Catalyst Suite? or did u download the parts individually?

can't help u bro... no experience with dual GPU...

afaik Catalyst 10.6a seems to support it, but take note that "a" stands for alpha...

what is your specs sir? you are running with dual GPUs?

I'm using Acer 4745G. The one with Intel Graphics + HD5470.

i thought CCC 10.5 still doesnt support dual GPU?

I saw some other forum member said 10.5 support dual GPU but I tested it and doesn't work

well, AMD has never mentioned anything that switchable graphic is supported, not even NV as well actually... (by that i am not referring to Optimus, since technically it's not really "switching")

i believe CCC does not support that, yet. at least not on their alpha state driver.

well actually there is some model like M17x and M11x which can switch the graphic under GFX Program. or its a different thing?

m17x iirc is using NV's own Hybrid SLI, and that's wat Optimus is based on really... the dedicated GPU renders the graphic while the integrated GPU ouputs the graphic...

m11x is real switching as output of the 2 GPU is independent... the dedicated GPU output it's own graphic, so does the integrated graphic... this is wat other systems like BenQ S42, Asus UL80Vt, etc are doing...

i dunno anyone has the same problem as me... but it's pretty annoying after installing Catalyst 10.5...

my idle and load clock are stuck in (core/memory) 450/600, while it should be 200+/300 and 550/667 respectively...

anyone with the same problem???

i know AMD bumped up idle clock in this release so that there's better performance during idle for Eyefinity, but now it seems to screw up mobile GPU as well...

Hmm..i've tried running Fifa 10 to get the load clock..
my idle clock 220/405 and load clock 550/697...

i'm still using 10.4 coz 10.5 a lot of problems... hopefully ati will solve it in the next update
