i'm tiba-tiba comes up with this question while surfing casing mod's threads...... any genius out there modded their lappy like what ppl always done to their casings??? anybody can try and post their progress and pics here to share with us?? maybe someday i'll mod my old lappy and become the 1st ppl here in LYN who mod lappy??? hahaha!! guys, post some pictures if you got!!! sure very funny and interesting!!!!

put some garfield or transformers sticker on the lappy and voila

that's not mod.... just stickers.... what i mean is cut their lappy here and there.... put some mini ccfl inside, maybe acrylic panel somemore....???

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't know if anyone can mod their laptop, except for stickers and some accessories....

Mooding laptop is not that HoT in msia(IMO), But you can refer to some foreign websites on laptop modification,.

i know some foreigner did modded their lappy, but forgot which website already..... saw it once.... not bad but look weird... haha

few years ago a friend of mine had dismantled his old laptop...and sent the exterior parts to a car spray shop...he had them spray it Perdana V6 Black...

the laptop looked sexy as hell...but unfortunately was a major fingerprint magnet....

anyway...few months later...his house got broken into and the laptop was stolen



most people wont mod laptops for 1 main reason...... warranty. laptops aint like desktops...where u can open the casing freely most of the time...

its hard, not quite much room to mod, and warrenty..

unless we can D.I.Y. laptop XD

actually, it done already, but not use in room. the board is Dell Inspiron 6400,

I'm interested in laptop modding, but have not found any sites that can be used as reference. I've an old travelmate 4000 series, with serious heat problems. Warranty is long gone, but don't wanna throw away the laptop. I'm thinking of taking the internals of the laptop and placing them in a micro case, and use it as a HTPC. Any help/info is appreciated; and i'll make sure i'll post the end results (if it works).

i think u hav to built a case to fit it.

Real laptop modding is done with netbooks google eeepc mods or other netbook models to see mods.
