QUOTE(virtual1979 @ Mar 24 2010, 10:54 PM) 5mb = RM150. 60 gb capped if they price their plans like this...it is so that they can oversell their capacity...$$$10mb = RM199. 80gb capped 20mb = Rm249. 120gb capped err.. correct me if my understanding is wrong... If I subscribe to the 20 mbps package (RM 240, 120gb capped), 120 GB capped per month = average 4 GB per day At 20 mbps, that's 2.5 MB/s or 9 GB per hour. Eh... if I'm a daily user and spend a few hours a day downloading/streaming stuff and surfing, I will bust my cap too easily... *sob* they hope most people will subscribe to the cheapest package...and those that want fast...to dload also will kena throttle once they reach the cap...WIN/WIN for TM |

If the rumoured pricings are indeed real, 5Mbps - RM150, 60GB cap... I might as well pay for the Streamyx Combo - 4Mbps - RM160, unlimited!

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Mar 24 2010, 11:02 PM) actually... rm 38...u apply, get the netbook then terminate... Bet there is minimum subscription. So, even if you terminate, you need to pay up the remaining time.rm19(first month, 50% rebate)+rm38(deposit)+rm75(homeline deposit)+rm600(admin charge)=rm 732 for HP mini 210-1073TU... worth For students, easily tie you in for 1 year. What kind of admin charge rm 600 ?! Its no different from an instalment plan. |

QUOTE(virtual1979 @ Mar 24 2010, 10:54 PM) 5mb = RM150. 60 gb capped 9Gb per hour? If you download/stream/surf that much per hour, you need to get off the internet and get a job. There's probably something out there that requires your insane multi tasking abilities.10mb = RM199. 80gb capped 20mb = Rm249. 120gb capped err.. correct me if my understanding is wrong... *sob* 120Gb isn't too harsh of a cap. Don't get me wrong, caps suck but you know what sucks more? not having fast internet access. I run a 4Mb line and i do not break 25 gigs in a month. I couldn't even if i wanted to. It'd be way awesome if they had no caps, at least don't cap the 10Mbps line but judging by the track record of providing shitty service already, the reduced load would probably help keep everything running smoothly. But i doubt it. Either way, i'd get that 10Mbps line right now even with the 80gb cap... assuming it works as advertised. |
