QUOTE(Jinx @ Mar 25 2010, 05:26 PM) No doubt about with an increase of speed comes greater used of bandwidth, +1 to your suggestion. At least offer a different packages to those that want a bigger cap.but with the current package offered by TM, there is no reason for us to upgrade, other than blazing speed of course (don't quote me on this) atleast give us an option to increase our bandwidth? And I 'lol'ed at those saying it will be cheap. Right on queue they offer the 10mbps 40bucks more than the current 4mbps price. |

QUOTE(kundaichiz @ Mar 25 2010, 05:38 PM) I disagree with that, do you remember what is "wawasan 2020" ? we are suppose to be an "advanced country" by that year, and internet is the backbone of a country, if u cant provide what an advanced country can supply, we will never be able to reach that. Maybe they know we cant do it so they want to overwrite that with "1 Malaysia" ? |

QUOTE(kundaichiz @ Mar 25 2010, 05:38 PM) yup us and japan are years ahead of us in terms of economy and technology so comparing the price they can offer to the price we can offer is not logical especially there is only one provider in malaysia and the government's tolerance towards monopoly of this market. |

QUOTE(zzzxtreme @ Mar 25 2010, 05:24 PM) some might argue verizon can be cheap because US have high population. erm, as far as i know alot of other telcos are more profitable.but remember, TM is sort-of a GLC and and very very profitable. so they SHOULD give a better deal to malaysians |

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Mar 25 2010, 05:42 PM) I'm not sure about the details, and I may be wrong here, but isn't speed over copper depends a lot on the distance from a home to the exchange(or something)? The longer from the exchange thing, the harder it is to achieve good speed. While fibre can cover more distances. |

in my opinion though, mayb tm is applying skimming pricing for this unifi, as time goes by the price will be reduced, but when? maybe i can understand the monthly capped reason, perhaps they want to provide us with guaranteed line quality? who knows, can't you all imagine just if there is no monthly capped, i think they gonna repeat the same mistake on streamyx as well, and the iptv definitely will fail.
