the service centre chick say need to ask their marketting, i just say nvm, i am not bothered..so..dunno

but what she say it, user can request for full speed after bandwidth cap, and extra charges would be charges with extra bandwidth(GB as unit)

guys, finally managed to talk to UniFi ppl..
here's the answers so far that i gotten:

if u hit daily bandwidth cap, ur speed will be capped to 1M

if u hit the bandwidth cap and still want to continue using full speed, u need to pay extra charges to get it, and the extra charges will be calculated based on the extra GB that u have used after the bandwidth limit

Upload is not included in the 60GB limit

for peak hour, it will be 90% speed, and non-peak will be 95%

as for now, u CANNOT get rid of that IPTV package

there might be some other stuff that i asked but forgotten..just ask here, maybe if i did ask and forgot to include here, i'll reply u too
overall, it does sucks, for now...i have made suggestion that cut off IPTV and give cheaper price, and also told her that out of the 100 ppl in this forum, 99 says bandwidth limit too little, and it would be a lot more better if they can increase the bandwidth limit
*
so confirmed its a daily cap (pro rated based on your package?)

so 60Gb monthly cap = ~ 2Gb per day, pls ask say

for eg, during RAYA/CNY i go outstation and dont use my internet for 10 days.
does that mean that when i return i have 20Gb still in my quota to use or is it considered gone since its calc on a daily basis wink.gif

This is a good question. to be fair unused bandwidth should be rolled forward (of course within a reasonable limit).

Not to mention you earn in pounds if u stay there, so 9 pounds, you can easily earn from working part-time for an hour or less.

Here, RM88? Working part time nets you like RM5 if you're lucky laugh.gif

Malaysia bukan negara maju bro. Thats why company cant effort paying high... plus our currency problem...

Oh well, my streamyx is much better than HSBB.

If 24h/7days for 1 month, I can reach 700GB. So, streamyx better than HSBB. doh.gif

from the flyer it's understood that way..and it appears that the chick from unifi also is rather confused, so i just mention the grand total 60GB when i ask...but it should be daily, since already mention

yea man, wouldn't mind having some "local shares" like we used to have for metrofon. That was awesome for a while until their networks had some serious problems. Metro-LAN FTW!

I know the download caps don't sound fun at all. But is anyone else excited about the symmetrical connection? 5Mbps unlimited upload speed! I can now host game and web servers!

And keeping my torrent ratio at 1.0 won't be a problem anymore...

I am pretty sure it will not be cheap. They might be even able to overcharge u the monthly bill although u never really exceed by much since they are the one who calculate the gb's used.

So if u don't request for full speed after cap = 1mb after that means u still pay the same price?

Bandwidth cap on a daily basis? FAIL. How the hell do I download a game off Steam then?

If it was capped per month, I wouldn't mind. But if it's like that there's no reason whatsoever to go for this POS.

Edit: nvm saw that the capped speed is still 1M, tolerable if still mediocre.

so that's why they didn't announce the price last night.. to avoid this kind of havoc during the event...

it's too damn pricey la for capping 60gb per month.. 512kbps is enough la if just wanna surf and checking emails.... zzzz........

actually bukan sebab malaysia bukan negara maju. at the risk of going OT, it's because we've been living on SUBSIDIES our entire lives we have forgotten that prices have continued to rise elsewhere. so bila barang di malaya masih murah, employers don't need to pay high salaries, we're getting paid PEANUTS not because we aren't developed, but because our mindset thrives on handouts.
