Yes, altho I prefer if they did like EA/ISI where they releases the game after the season finishes. That way the car's speed is relevant to how they performed in real life
I really hope this game as realistic as they promised, i adi quit F1 game for almost 3 years adi, last played was the rFactor 2005 mod, quit due to boring graphic engine and poor handling after that, and too much mod from different creators, make me confused.
I thought for rFactor it's quite good looking once you get a powerful graphic card? And was it the CTDP mod?

There are few things that i dislike in rFactor, one of them is we can't see the hand of the driver in cockpit, the steering just move by itself without hand, very scary Then followed by no wether change.
Anyway,IMO CTDP2005 mod is the best F1 mod ever in PC based F1 game.
lol some mods do have hands addon. but usually I turn the steering wheel itself off and just use my steering. The onboard steerign can be distracting at times XD

yeah but then again the ppl behind the mods are not ordinary people. Some can surprise you. Take the endurancers endurance mode for example. They have some the of the Epsilon Euskadi team members giving feedback on how the mod should feel

XboxFront: Hello Adrian, congratulations for your victory [he beat the editor]. Do you play video games in private too, or is this just pure PR?
Adrian Sutil: In this case I'm doing PR, but at home I am playing regularly, especially at the PC. Mostly GTR, a great game, which I enjoy because it's more a simulation than arcade.
XboxFront: And what do you think of F1 2010? Would you put it into the arcade or simulation genre?
Adrian Sutil: The game is really fun, but I see it more as arcade, because it feels really different than sitting in a real Formula 1 car, where the reaction to steering is more direct. With F1 2010 is a real minimal lag.
XboxFront: When did you began playing video games, and what was the first racing or Formula 1 game you played?
Adrian Sutil: I can't remember when exactly, but I remember having my first experience with Toca World Touring Cars on the PlayStation [1]. It was, at that time, a good game. I believe it even had a damage model. Grand Prix 3 was at the PC the first Formula 1 game I played.
XboxFront: Thank you very much for the interview and the good race, and much success in this and the following seasons at the Formula 1!
Uhuh... Codemaster, still haven't fix that steering lag? I am dissapoint
Anyways, you can see the steering lag in this video where he uses a wheel

I supposed (and hoped) there is no lag in the steering wheel, do notice that the steering wheel used in event is simulating the real steering wheel used in F1 (see the turning angle) and the reaction in the game is set to a normal one which respond to the normal 240 degrees wheel (like black MOMO), so it might seems that there is a lag or delay of the steering wheel in the game. Adrian Sutil was playing the game for a few laps only so he probably not clear about the in-game setting, Anthony should have better picture for it.
As for the rFactor mod, I would say CTDP F1 2006 is the best of all the F1 mod, graphics and physics are top notch. Though now I have shift my attention to the FSONE 2009, which is a great mod as well, though LOD is badly done.
This game is greatly made and for sure I will be buying it.
Yes, but even IF there is an animation difference, even if you turn a bit on the steering wheel that you are using, the car will react accordingly. What Sutil was referring to was that. And since that is an Xbox version he was using, there is no way that would be a real F1 steering wheel. Most likely a cosmetic change on a normal Xbox one.
