Hi all,
What is a reasonable quotation for tiling work psf ?
My floor already got existing tiles and the guy says need to hack till 4 feet (or is it 4 inch, not sure) deep for proper tiling
My tile size is 2x2
He will provide cement & sand (tiles i provide)
Thanks
I was quoted RM3 psf, big project RM1.50-2.00 psf for tiles, Marble specialist RM8-10 psf. You need to hack off the old cement, otherwise the tiles wont stick well. That will cost u extra. 4inches more likely, unless u putting a safe under ur floor! What is a reasonable quotation for tiling work psf ?

mine was done at rm2.5psf but it also depends whether water proofing is required tho i personally think the water proofing treatment is BS..just an excuse to charge more..
i'm pretty sure its 4in..4ft is like excavating for a tunnel liao
Water proofing treatment is only necessary for shower/bath area 2nd storey. It's also necessary for marbles, as water from ground may seep through the marbles, causing ugly 'water marks' on your marbles. The only way to treat the 'water marks' is to hack the marble and rewater proofing.i'm pretty sure its 4in..4ft is like excavating for a tunnel liao

hi all,
1. If i need reliable and quality --> in terms of scratch-resistant and crack-resistant, is Niro tile still a good choice ?
2. How about Ceramic tile ?
3. Are there any types of tiles that are like above quality i mentioned, and is in relatively good price ?
4. Any sample pic of the types of tiles u guys mentioned here ?
thx.
Scratch resistant and crack resistant, u should go for porcelain tile. Porcelain is a denser material, it is stronger than its ceramic counterpart. For normal use, even ceramic tile should be sufficient.1. If i need reliable and quality --> in terms of scratch-resistant and crack-resistant, is Niro tile still a good choice ?
