anyone test battery drain of the GPS on the samsung galaxy s?The buntuman said that the phone can last 2 hours only in full charge.   Is true?

Buntutman also said the phone always require reboot. It make me feel i am using my htc touch 3G experience..

I want to sign a contract with maxis for galaxy s. Anyone check the firmware version of the phone? is it the latest?

Don't need wait for digi lah. Just get the phone and go for Smartplan. Cheaper on the long run. Don't need to tie yourself down with a contract.

so assume i sign up for RM50 value + RM48 data plan...so how much is my upfront total payment?

can tell me how much we need to pay to maxis for the 1st time to get galaxy s? is it 1699+(50+58)=1807? or need other payment?
and another thing, can me change my data plan within the contract period? i want to try 58 data plan for 1st month, and if it not sufficient for me, i want to upgrade to 78.

the rm58 dataplan can't tether and is only for 500mb per month. Maxis policy on exceeding your monthly quota is to charge you for your excess download (diam diam la...). digi rm68 package can tether, plus its monthly quota is 3gb..Additionally if you exceed your quota, you wont get charged, just throttled down to 128kbps. Quite fair, imho.

i can tell you, 500mb is quite insufficient even if you are a casual user.

that's why i am quite pissed that maxis grabbed the exclusivity. never been a maxis customer before, and becoz of this phone, first time calling their customer service to enquire.

i suppose if i cave in to the temptation and finally get this phone, i will probably pay the RRP. or get someone to "joint venture" and share the rm900 discount with me getting the phone and him signing for the package. (any takers?  )

Just a quick question. Why does everyone need a screen protector if the screen is scratch resistant?

i realized that when other ppl want send file via bluetooth to me, his phone cant detect my galaxy s bluetooth ?? but i send image to my friend via bluetooth, there is no problem .... any member face this problem ?? thx ....

Basically, Android phones, the application can multitask, ie, run many applications at the same time. Thus if u don't close yr applications properly, processes will be left behind, sooner or later, u will hv memory issues, thus phone bcomes slower. If it's slow... just shutoff the phone, ie. cold reboot....

PS: Android is based on LINUX.....
