SingTel is offering this phone very cheap in Singapore.
Most expensive package offers the phone for just S$398 (RM935).

No.. no answer yet.. Still in dilemma now.. haha..
Samsung Galaxy S or HTC Desire or Iphone 4.. ARGH ~~

The only advantage I see for paying the premium price for an iPhone is the App Store and the front camera. If you want more customization options, get an Android phone.

Just saw a comparison between screens under direct sunlight.. it seems X10 has better brightness to me.. Desire is the worst  sweat.gif

The Galaxy S's screen legibility still seems pretty good though. It's almost on par with the X10 in same cases.

And since it's Super AMOLED, it should be more energy efficient than the XPERIA's TFT screen.

Very nice demo video of the Galaxy S. drool.gif
BTW, is the back of the Galaxy S easily smudged and fingerprint-prone?

i think screen of galaxy s was using new technology, its not easy to smudged .... b4 this i using like 5800XM / OMNIA II , the screen so easy for fingerprint but galaxy s was different .... so no need to clean the fingerprint everytime after using .... nod.gif , impressive for this .... tongue.gif

I'm not so worried about the front screen. I'm actually asking about the back cover. One reason I dislike the iPhone 3GS is because the black glossy cover is extremely prone to prints and smudges. Most demo videos I see of the Galaxy S only show the front, which naturally will have prints, but I'm hoping the back won't have prints.

I use Advanced Task Killer sometimes because sometimes an application has become non-responsive or behaves weirdly and I need to restart it. What I don't use is an automatic task killer.

The Maxis site was inaccessible for me while I was trying to check for updates on this.

Yeah, other countries offering for about half that price with plan.

Less than half. SingTel most expensive price is $398. Cheapest is $0.

how about facebook n twitter on android? is it better if compare wif iphone apps?
n  how about the notification in android? is it similar wif iphone?
n  how about the media player for songs n pic?

Facebook and Twitter I think is better on iPhone. The Facebook application for Android isn't very good.
Notifications Android wins hands down. They all appear on the top which you can slide down.
Media player I think both around the same.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 was shunned because not only did it run Android 1.6, it was priced ridiculously high.

You'd choose this phone over Desire if you want the Super AMOLED screen and support for more video formats out of the box.

to install a driver so that can detect my phone..
without kies, it keep pop up driver not successful install,etc...

Added on July 2, 2010, 6:23 pmhow to backup all my data?
*
You don't need to install anything for your PC to detect your phone as a USB drive. However if you want to do any debugging, sync or use ADB, you should install HTC Sync which will install the necessary Windows drivers for you. Note that even if you install the Android SDK/ADB, your phone might not be detected if the drivers are not there. The Android SDK supplies a usb_driver folder for download, but from my experience it doesn't work all the time on some Windows machine.

In the future ask "What GPS navigation software comes installed with the phone?". If you just ask "Does it have GPS?", people will just assume you mean whether the phone has a GPS receiver.

Does it also have the weather effects when you turn on the screen?
E.g. Rainy weather, drops of water will appear on your screen and a windscreen wiper will wipe them away.
