Malaysian selling price of the 3DS will definitely >1k. Original DS phat was going for RM850 when it launched and that was one of the lower prices around with many other places quoting RM900 and above. It's crazy the kind of markup that gets placed on Nintendo products sold in Malaysia. You only have to look at PSP vs DS and PS3 vs Wii to see what I mean.
Anyway, at least now I'm in Europe so I get the benefit of a nice USD exchange rate :-) And cheaper postage, muah ha ha. Can buy, send to my sis, and get my sis to send to me. Now to save £1 a day for it coz there's no way I'm going to buy an overpriced EU version of the 3DS.

3D does effect the battery life. Western media are reporting that the 3DS has a 3-5 hr battery life. Pity it can't be like the DS Lite (which had a uber long battery life)
Pre-orders have already started in the UK but I'm holding out til there are better pre-order goodies and til I know whether the unit is region locked (rumored to be).
They're listing about £200 for the unit so far (though as everyone knows, prices are unconfirmed - we'll have to wait til Jan 19 for some sort of possible trickle of info from Nintendo)

QUOTE(Currylaksa @ Jan 14 2011, 03:53 PM) hmm the hardware specs very underwhelming Underwhelming? Erm, they can do overwhelming, but if it costs £500 would anyone buy it? Nope. Already people are saying the prices are pretty high for a handheld. Added on January 14, 2011, 8:33 pmQUOTE(SWATwolf @ Jan 14 2011, 08:29 PM) hey johnathan it's been a while I would actually wait to see if there's any hardware failure and not to forget the region lock. Lol that was a quick reply. Oh yeah, it's night time and Malaysians are all prob back home shooting off for ameeting now This post has been edited by Johnathan Sia: Jan 14 2011, 08:33 PM

QUOTE(HiRuMi91 @ Jan 19 2011, 11:21 PM) I hope Team Twiizers can rape the anti-piracy.. And play game through SD .. not Well atleast the Homebrew Channel... Piracy would NOT be cool. That's the major problem with the NDS now (Although in Europe, PSPs are incredibly far behind DSs).
