Was expecting prices to reach RM8xx for the 3DS but it's a real let down that the battery life is so short. Maybe I'll wait for Lite version.. but a 2 year wait?

They said 3-5 hours with the 3D Depth on, 5-8 hours if it's off. The range there should be dependent on your brightness setting. upon consulting a friend, the battery life is similar to a psp.. so I guess it's ok.
FYI this will be my first time getting my very own Nintendo console, the last I actually held was a Game Boy! GBA-DSi never appealed to me. |

QUOTE(Peculator @ Jan 23 2011, 10:24 AM) Nintendo's need to gather information and feedback about the current 3DS so they could make next iteration; so probably taking some time though. based on wikipedia every DS upgrade has been about 2 years apart from each other.QUOTE(toadhall @ Jan 23 2011, 12:26 AM) 3DS confirmed to have MP3 support. That would be a total bummer. my new headphones would be totally wasted http://www.3dsbuzz.com/mp3-support-confirm...endo-3ds-sound/ I hope Nintendo doesn't do what they did with Wii. Launched with MP3 support then removed later with an update. Anyway 1 month till PO and jap official release. Now problem is whether can get it or not. http://nintendo3dsblog.com/there-will-be-s...urope-at-launch 4,000,000 scheduled to release Japan = 1,500,000 Europe = 900,000 North America and rest of the world = 1,600,000 |

Review:http://yellowmangoes.com/?action=catalog_blog&id=86
Very honest review.. QUOTE Where the 3DS does trump the PSP in terms of control, however, is with its new analogue nub – officially called the Circle Pad. While Sony’s first handheld had a flat nub with imprinted grip, Nintendo has opted for a concave surface, which acts as a nest for the thumb. Uh ohWe find this analogue nub responsive, with a quick and definite snap back to centre once it it’s released. We had three handhelds to play with, however, and one did notice one particularly sticky Cicle Pad, which didn’t come all the way back to the middle if pushed to its boundaries. It’s important to say that only one device demonstrated this problem – but it could be a sign of nubby problems later on in the 3DS’ lifespan. QUOTE Out of the games we play, Nintendogs + Cats boasts some of the most profound depth, as our pets roam around a large living room. Accordingly, the slightest sideways rotation – even by as little as a degree – causes flickering of the image and the occasional split-second blackout. Can be fixed by software update? QUOTE(sayming @ Mar 4 2011, 08:22 AM) Had a chance to test this out during my Hong Kong trip this week. Pretty interesting 3D this thing can generates but I gotta agree with the 3D slider. Its really really flimsy. Even a new one dat came fresh out of the box was a lil wobbly. Zzz the one you tested been out of box for some time and tested by other ppl oso right? but still...so fast loose.. aiyo QUOTE The 3DS doesn’t feel quite so expensive or solid as something like the Sony PSP. The D-pad, face and shoulder buttons are small with that distinctly ‘clicky’ feel, with clearly little room to move inside the body. from same review above Kyo...still no news on price?? |

QUOTE(Kyoyagami @ Mar 4 2011, 12:26 PM) sadly, still no. even I'm waiting with bated breath. huhu. +1Added on March 4, 2011, 5:44 pmWith good pokemon news, comes good 3DS news. Expected to get EVERY.SINGLE.DETAIL. Next week. Even without the 3D effect the hardware itself is a real boost from its predecessors. |

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Mar 5 2011, 08:53 PM) -1 I said compared to its predecessors la if you want to talk about hardware, Sony NGP is better by leaps and bound. The only reason to buy 3ds is 3d and also Nintendo game ler. NGP only just announced and dunno when release, 3DS is coming out in less than a month.. mana boleh tunggu so long?? 14 hours to go... 3 digit price yes! I doubt the price would drop that fast, anyway if it does it won't be much considering the current prices for new predecessor DSes(2nd hand not counted)
A lot are saying that they'll wait till the good games come out which is may before they buy the console. Who knows what it will cost then... |

Played Find Mii instead of Puzzle Swap due to the repeats puzzles. I'm up to the 6th ghost now. Is it not every room will get a hat? room 3 and 5 didn't give me a hat
Coins can use to get heroes or puzzle for the built in Mii games. Also can be used in some 3DS games http://nintendo3dsblog.com/lego-pirates-of...pass-play-coins(considering getting that as my first 3DS game Is this gonna be serious later on? The left hinge of my 3DS is loose. when closed the left side can shake/move but the right side is firm, won't move at all. |

Mine wasn't that way when I first had it. I know that it will wobble a bit when open. And I did a check after someone posted the hinge video here. Went searching for other hinge videos but mine nothing major.
I just realized this loose left hinge yesterday. Right side tak gerak langsung. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmxACI7458o Maybe too much shaking? I shake it sometimes to get Mii coins This post has been edited by DeinanCF: Apr 12 2011, 03:00 PM |
