can use window xp instead of win7?

You'd need to boot from a USB flash drive, as most netbooks do not have a DVD/CD drive.

And setting up a WinXP bootable flash drive won't be as straightforward as for WinVista or Win7.

I think, you should add more RAM, or switch off those visual themes.

btw, @ soonlee33 : WinXp is already 10 years old. The hardware support may be limited.

Do you know why it's called a netbook and not a notebook?

because it's supposed to only surf net, not gaming.

And yeah, the Alienware M11x is pointless.

To me, it's pointless.

Screen so small, what do you expect to see? Sorry man, I'm not quite a fan of netbooks.

Better to get at least an Inspiron 14. Around RM1700.

At the very least, its a proper notebook.

How to change the RAM.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Mar 27 2010, 09:46 PM)
Remove battery, push the 2 orange tabs, then firmly pry the back cover open. You can access the RAM compartment easily.
