Hi,

Between blink contacts and rohto c, which one better for dry sensitive eye? I'm currently using Rohto C, but it doesnt last long, im working in a very cold & dry (air cond) environment office, so i have to use the eye drop frequently. Im looking for something that can hold the moisture longer. Have u tried both products? And how do you compare them? Kindly share. Im on air optix for astig, silicone hydrogel lenses (33% water content which is suitable for dry eye and extended wear). What are the side effects if we are wearing wrong base curve CL?
*
For very dry eye, between blink contacts and rohto c, blink contacts is better (Alcon Systance will give better result, try it)

ok, you are using air optix for astig, sometimes the disinfecting solution do come in place, what disinfecting solution you are using? (try using Alcon Supraclens ~ btw non halal, together with Optifree Replensih)....if you are malay, try revitalens solution (don't change everything, to know and get result, try one by one)

Base Curve (BC) is a measure of the curvature of the contact lens. This helps it fit your cornea more comfortably since some corneas are "steeper" or "flatter" than others. The higher the Base Curve number the "flatter" the curvature of the cornea. Base curve and diameter come together ( in relation), to obtain the suitable base curve, u need to have a k-meter reading and your eye size to determine a suitable diameter. The present problem, we have not much choice as the manufacturers have fixed base curve and diameter. Btw, other than best base curve and diameter (determine on your eyes), you still need to look into best material, Biofinity Toric have the best material used. Everytime you order or buy lens, do try to get some sample trial (example, the latest J&J Dailiy Moist Astigmatism, I think they give good result). Biofinity Toric and J&J Oasys Toric are good lens, do try them (I don't know your K-meter reading, so can't give you the best base curve and diameter ~ you need to try an error smile.gif

Hello,

Appreciate your feedback thanks. I'm really concern about my lenses cleanliness. So i took extra effort on cleaning and disinfacting them. First i use lens2 with normal saline to rinse it. Since lens2 is based on agitation process, i believed i will break up protein deposit even with just normal saline. Once done, i rinse it with aosept then soak it in aosept provided container for 6hours. Basically that is my cleaning regime. I dont have any irritation or sore eyes what so ever. It just badly dry if i in the office for more than 4hours.

Thanks for your recommendation, i would love to try both biofinity since it got the highest dk/t reading and oasys. Is there a way for you to help me to get trial for both?

Thanks
*
hmm...using aosept, ok, one of the best disinfecting..breaking up protein deposit? heat it to around 50C is one of the best tongue.gif
You can visit the optical outlet that you usually patronize to request for Biofinity Toric/Oasys Toric and Acuvue 1-Day Moist Toric is a must try lens.

Why were u recommending Acuvue Moist? I found that the material used wasnt silicone hydrogel so its not suitable for extended hour wear. Kindly share your thought.

Thanks.
*
Not silicone hydrogel but Daily Disposable smile.gif
I always recommend Daily Disposable tongue.gif

You don’t have to worry about using lens cases to store your lenses.
No need to clean or disinfect your contact lenses since you simply throw them away once you’ve worn them.
Allergy sufferers may benefit from daily replacement of contact lenses as fresh, new lenses every day help minimize the potential for deposits on their lenses that can cause discomfort.
Minimal protein buildup helps your vision stay sharp.
Acuvue Moist is one of the best biggrin.gif

Hi There,

Thanks for the explainations. Appreciate that. But, I think only those rich people can opt for daily disposable, haha, for me I shall stick either with monthly or bi-weekly.

BTW, do you have do you sell unizyme protein tablet? I can only find ultrazyme in your list. Since I'm using AOSept from Ciba Vision, I would like to get tablet from the same manufacturer as well as I'm afarid using different manufacturer will lead to any incompatibility issue.

Thanks.
*
U r mostly welcome smile.gif

Hahaha, Unizyme was discontinued some time ago so ultrazyme is the most compatibility tablets with aosept currently....or maybe try oxysept? Same manufacturer with ultrazyme tongue.gif

The advantage of oxysept over aosept is oxysept comes with a b2 coating neutralizing tablets (pink in color), so if the end solution is not pinky then u miss out the neutralizing b2 tablets. For aosept the neutralizing action start when u soak into the solution even "killing" no yet finish, as for oxysept only start to neutralizing after b2 coating dissolve smile.gif

Thanks for the info. I would like to order the items below:-

1. AOSept Case (Cage and AODisc) x4
2. Klean & Kare x2 bottles
3. Lens2 basket n holder set x2

By the way, are you sure that Ultrazyme is 100% compatible with AOSept? I'm afraid there will be any side effect if i use it with AOSept.

Its not that i don't want to use oxysept, but I couldn't find any good review about oxysept online, but there are a lot of good review about Clear Care (AOSept version in USA). Somemore, based on AMO website, we have to use a seperate daily cleaner to clean the lenses which i think no point of having Peroxide system to take care our lenses. What is your view?
*
AOSEPT DIRECTION NOTES:
a)If bubbles leak from the hole on the top of the cap of the lens holder, this indicates that you have overfilled the cup or that you may not have thoroughly rinsed the cleaner off your lenses.
b)Never rinse your lenses in AOSEPT® Disinfectnt and put directly on the eye.
c)Lenses must always be disinfected/neutralized for a minimum of six (6) hours in the AOSEPT® Lens Cup with the AODISC Neutralizer and rinsed with fresh saline before putting your lenses on.
d)The AODISC Neutralizer must be replaced with a new AODISC Neutralizer after 100 uses or three (3) months of daily use.
e)If you use an enzymatic cleaner be sure to clean, disinfect/neutralize, and rinse your lenses before insertion on the eye.
f)Only an enzymatic cleaner that is recommended for use with hydrogen peroxide disinfecting solutions, such as ULTRAZYME®, can be used with the AOSEPT® Disinfectant in the AOSEPT® Lens Cup. (NOTE: You must rinse your lens with saline after enzyming).

Btw, I am getting the CibaVision principal to give me an official support on my statement of Ultrazyme is 100% compatible with AOSept tongue.gif

1. AOSept Case (Cage and AODisc) x4 =rm20.00
2. Klean & Kare x2 bottles = RM10.00 with 120ml FREE
3. Lens2 basket n holder set x2 = RM20.00

Courier fee would be RM 5(500g and below),RM 10(500g and above) .
Btw, all price exclude courier service transport fee (sorry, can't waive it as profit are low on solution, if contact lens I can arrange free postage, hope u understand)
Fyi, I will try to arrange some trial lens on my part for you to try, if possible smile.gif

Thanks a lot, so 1 piece of AOSept case cost RM5? I saw in your website RM3 only? Just curious.

Thanks for the trial lenses arrangement. Appreciate that so much, my refrac power is Sph: -3.25, Cyl: -0.75, Axs: 180, for both side L/R same power.

If that so, please include Ultrazyme as well. TQ so much and let me know once everything ready and ill bank in the money.
*
For the AO Sept case price of RM3 you saw in the website it is for a minimum of purchase of 10 units .
Pls add on to another RM 19 for 1 box of Ultrazyme table which make up to a total of RM 79t.

Added on July 5, 2012, 5:19 pmSorry to keep questioning you, haha. What is the main purpose of daily cleaner since we already have Multipurpose solution? Based on your experienced, etween Alcon and B+L daily cleaner, which one do you recommend and which one better?
*
Alcon Cleaner vs B+L Sensitive Eyes Daily Cleaner......almost the same, the best in market is Miraflow (discontinue years ago), B+L Sensitive Eyes seems less effective so making alcon slightly better smile.gif

Ahah, TQ for your reply, since im using peroxide based, i dont think its necessary to use seperate daily cleaner, correct? BTW, tq for your explaination, Ciba always produced nice product but it wont last long, miraflow n unizyme for example, for some reason they discontinued it. Huhu, anyway, let me know once the trial lenses ready and ill transfer the money ya. May i know which brand are you arranging?
*
Your prescription -3.25, Cyl: -0.75, Axs: 180, for both side L/R same power.
manage to get
2pairs moist for astigmatism (must try)
but the other pair power is -3.00, Cyl: -0.75, Axs: 180, they only give 1pair per customer tongue.gif
1 pair acuvue oasys for astigmatism -3.25, Cyl: -0.75, Axs: 180,
Normally if u order air optix for astig, we will arrange additional piece per box as spare, but when come to acuvue oasys for astigmatism there will not be such practice smile.gif
confirming, u need
AOSept Case (Cage and AODisc) x2 - rm10
Klean & Kare x2 bottles free 1X120ml -rm10
Lens2 basket n holder set x3 -rm30
ULTRAZYME® tablets - rm19
courier service rm10.00 (free from contact lens)
so total is rm79
Cleaners and protein removals such as miraflow n unizyme are discontinued, because they are mean more to be used with conventional yearly disposable contact lens, with the trend of most users are in monthly or dailies, the demand for the said products reduced sharply to the point of almost obsolete laugh.gif
