IMO, to complain is definitely right , but have to hope the 'voice' goes into the right side of ears & doesnt come out from the other side.

In the other hand, to boycott the brand is not totally wrong too.. Let's look at this the other way,boys.. i rmb the time when ppl didnt even wanna mention Philips for a certain period & how Philips grew through the times with its' Pixel Plus. It may not be the best LCD ( to each his own) , but honestly, i was awed by the Pixel Plus good PQ & audio at that time. It seems to me like most brands are growing, except Panny .. Maybe too snobbish to improve because of its' consistent market share, perhaps? The price is dropping though , but sadly , the quality is dropping as well..

Anyway, juz my 2cents , no offense meant.

i thought RM2599 can get with a Panny 5.1 home theatre some more ?? a satelite speakers one of cuz.


that, my bro,depends on how we play with our toys, i couldnt believe my eyes at first too.Depends on the salesperson too, the one i met explained & demo to me few hours(few trips to his shop some more,next to my office,hehe),not on contrast or crystal clear or vibrant colors pics , but on 'missing details' part. Till now i couldnt understand why Philips are able to capture 'missing details' when others couldnt (comparing same range) & yet Philips contrast,color & stuffs are far more 'laoya' than others..
It's beyond words,only believable when we see it with our own eyes.At that moment,i was wondering how on earth could i missed this part when it was juz in front of my eyes?. (i didnt buy though,owned other brand alrdy!)haha! . But honestly,the current Philips are not better than 2009 models, sad~~

To me,the salesperson's real important,bcuz they spent hours in front of those babies. Specs & reviews can help us a lil' but may not be true after all. Standing in front of the screen at roadshows & showrooms for a short period of time only indirectly leads us to buy what the shop is trying to sell(with the best output source only on what they wanna sell of course!).There arent many shops who'll really use same source for each brand comparing side by side.I m glad the one i met did,allowing me to adjust whatever i want on each available brand ( fair at least ).

quality wise i dont know , but definitely cheaper.. Fren said sets brought in from S'pore can claim warranty here alrdy (not sure tho').. Heard that Panny cant do anythg altho' some local dealer complained bout other dealers are throwing crazy low prices (lower than their local cost!). Since all sets are made in S'pore,seems like Panny M'sia havent come out with a solution yet..which is also why we still see all those super low price Panny around.. hehehe.. But on how they brought in,we dont know loOo..

IMHO , i think it's quite true that plasma power consumption's a lot more than L.E.D.. U can feel the heat emitting from it juz by standing right next to it, where as LED , less heat emitted. If u really like the 50V so much , buy ur wife a power saver adaptor ,hehe.. Saves up to 40% i heard after installing it.

True too.. To me,extended warranty is important,as my cousin had spent almost RM2k repairing his Sammy LCD,panel prob. It was still under warranty actually,2nd yr, as he'd bought extended warranty too.But when he went back to the shop,lots of reasons given saying the set can't claim warranty! Trust me, he'd tried every source & info he could,but at the end of the day, only $ can solve the issue. Dark shadow cast over warranty issues ever since,to me & him. But , I cant help but to agree that u'd got the point right too, "Tech moved on by the time warranty expires"..Good one,bros. Think if our plasma/lcd aint too pricey or if we are those new-tech-chasers ,perhaps extended warranty issues aint such a big concern afterall. Thanx for enlightening! Hopefully we can get the real NETT price for this 42X28. Cheers!

In my humble opinion , I'll depend on how much i spent for my screen , if aint too pricey , then i dont think it's necessary. Not that warranty arent important, but perhaps I'll only go for the original warranty provided by the manufacturer without buying extended,for me 2yrs is good enough.Like bro jcetham mentioned; [by the time such warranty expires....tech may have moved on already...]..Imagine how much will a 42"plama cost us after 2yrs.. If the set rosak,then it's time to change it.
