The new line of Viera Plasmas has been announced in CES 2011. VT30, GT30 & ST30.
How soon do you guys think they will reach our shores & will we see further price drops for the 2010 models?

"production of 2011 models slightly earlier last year" will translate into an earlier release this year? earlier then the customary April/May you think? been holding off on pulling the trigger for the P50V20. I'm sure Pana would try to release their 2011 line about the same, if not earlier then the other big boys (Sammy, LG, Sony, etc) to capture the bigger slice of the market.

Just took a stroll in Jusco mid valley during lunch, prices for the 50U & 50V are rm3,799 & rm6,100 respectively..
However the 50V is Best Denki rm5,500 (interest free installment) & rm4,999 full payment (cash or credit card)

VT30 you mean? That's the latest unreleased 2011 model.

How do you know this far ahead of its offical launch? Do you have a trusted source?

The next gen of Panasonic Plasma is up for preorder in the US along with its prices. However I'm not sure how it correlates in RM if/when it eventually gets here. It looks like 3D is being pushed down to the lower end models. It's to encourage 3D adoption I guess. Lets hope the price remains intact. Check it out here

Only the VT30 has the one sheet glass design actually.. The rest down the line will spot a slimmer black bezel.

The upcoming VT30 has automatic ISF calibration feature as well. See here. I wonder how accurate will it be.
Don't think it'll be as accurate as our bro anfieldude pro calibration.

Models ending with 'T' are 3D (VT,GT,ST). The rest is not.

I read Chad B review on the ST30, they pit against the VT25 and it lost out only on blacks and colour accuracy. With that being said, the VT25 is top of the line 2010 model so it would provide a good reference for the ST30 to follow. In terms of comparison, does this make the ST30 slightly below the VT25? The ST30 is definitely better compared to the 2010 V20 right?
