If its HD ready for THP42X28K
I wonder why the Specs only says support resolution minimum 720 not even 720p ? Hmmmm....

I need a confirmation on this whether it is HD Ready or Not even HD Ready for this model.

http://www.panasonic.com.my/web/pid/9124/Spec

Applicable Scanning Format
Full HD  1125 (1080)/50i, 1125 (1080)/60i, 1125 (1080)/24p (HDMI only), 1125 (1080)/50p (HDMI only), 1125 (1080)/60p (HDMI only)
HD  750 (720)/50p, 750 (720)/60p

Will be buying this model end month
I need some help on this , im super confused

hmm not sure, but i guess, that model is HD ready at native 720p, and (1080)/60p (HDMI only) would result picture get stretch to fit the "1920x1080" resolution via it's hdmi (1080/60p). BTW me myself also a bit confused between HD 720p Ready and HD 1080p Ready, maybe someone else could shed some light for a newbie like us. icon_rolleyes.gif

There is nothing to be confused. This model is a 1024 X 768 pixel panel. It accepts all the resolutions stated and scales accordingly to fit into 1024 X 768. (So in essence it can except 720p, 1080i and 1080p at all refresh rates)

As long as the panel is not a 1920 X 1080 resolution, they cannot put 1080p Ready. However, the specs for HD are actually as long as the panel can display 720p it can be considered a HD panel.

A 1080p HD Ready panel will accept and not scale a 1080p source so it needs to have 1920 X 1080 pixels

When a 1080p/60 source is sent to this panel, it will scale the image to fit into its 1024 X 768 panel.

Hi bro,

The prices you got are kinda cheap. Where is it you saw selling at these prices. Might want to check it out.
thx
P42v20 : RM4,400 - RM 4, 600
NO free gifts (that's a good comparison across the board)
Prices will differ once you ask for HDMI cable / BD player

this cheap? .....not! tongue.gif

last homedec deal is really a good deal, wait for a second homedec by third quarter of this year la if this is the pricing strategy is going to be. icon_idea.gif
